I have heard that to apply for Quebec in new criteria is not mandatory that you have french language points you can also apply via english points. Moreover, you can move to other state or province after getting your PR card in Quebec, there is no any condition to stay till a year to 2? is it correct.

Akarmally: first of all French is not mandatory to apply, however is strongly recommended, not only because-you need it to integrate successfully, but it also gives you up to 16 points. If you have 55 points as single or 63 as married without french points you can get the CSQ without interview, be aware that a VO can call you to an interview to check adaptability and the interview is in French if you fail to demonstrate you can adapt to Quebec you won't get CSQ.
About getting PR In Quebec and then move to another province is not the best because once you Renew your PR card or if you try to get citizenship later, you WILL be asked about why you left the province you may be questioned for fraud because you use Quebec to get Pr and you never intended to live there, you must have proof and really valid reasons to demonstrate you tried to live in Quebec but couldn't and therefore you have to move to another province, it is not easy, and if the Government suspects you used Quebec only to enter Canada and you cannot prove the opposite you could be banned and deported back to your country. Always be aware of consequences.

my e-cas status has been changed to "In process", what's is next.

I will be waiting two months to get the passport to my new baby Girl and inform Quebec to issue the CSQ since they reply to me that they need a passport copy within 90 days to issue the CSQ. and at inform Visa office,

I received my AOR a couple of days ago and apparently they updated ECAS yesterday. However, for me it is still not alive yet. Is that normal?

Yes, it should be activated within 2 weeks of you getting your AOR

I have a double name, meaning two last names connected by a hyphen. I actually had to type in the double name with a space and then it worked! So if your last name is e.g. "Smith-Miller" you will have to type in "Smith Miller".


My ECAS now states the following:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on December 8, 2014.

2. Medical results have been received.


Shouldn't it usually state something about the RFPR fee as well? In my AOR they acknowledged my payment of $1040 but they are not mentioning it in my ECAS...

Congratulations ... the ECAS doesnt usually have anything about RPRF ... the next update should be if they started processing your application. And the one afterwards is when they make a decision.
