Im also confused that y they didn't allot any numbers for training, they have given me 10 points for my level of schooling. and this is the reason im fighting with them. lets see what they reply to my appeal, only then this confusion will be solved.

Angel, points are awarded in three stages.

1- First the candidate has to score a minimum of 42 points (single) or 50 points (married) based on the criteria of Qualification, Experience, Age, linguistic Knowledge, Stay and family to the Quebec, Offers validated job and, if need be, Characteristic of the spouse or spouse de facto that accompanies.

2- Then all the factors are taken into consideration and at this stage a single candidate must score at least 49 points whereas the requirement for a married person is 57 points.

3- The 6 points for adaptability are awarded in the interview and if a single candidate scores 55 points without the 6 points for adaptability, he/she is given CSQ without an interview. In order to be eligible for interview waiver, a married candidate has to score 63 points without taking into consideration the points for adaptability.

Now what i think they have done in you case is that they have failed you on the stage 1. And its because you failed to score 42 points at stage 1 due to lack of knowledge of French and scored 0 points for area of training (according to them), that is why you got a refusal. In my opinion, having just basic knowledge of french would have saved you from this tortuous experience. It's worth asking them as to why they gave you only 4 points for work experience when (as you say) you have experience of 4+ years. I wonder if the experience you're counting points for is in the field relating to your area of training.

All the best !

u are absolutely rite, they have mentioned this in the letter that i was unsuccessful to obtain the 42 marks in the first stage. however they haven't mentioned anywhere that the experience should be in the area of training??? correct me if im wrong. they have always asked for total experience.

Angel,

As far as I remember, they do mention on their official website that experience should pertrain directly to your area of training, I remember reading it, i'll try to find a link and i'll post it here

@Angel

I think some information will clear this problem

1. when did you graduate from university? If it is more than 5 years then your are of training points will only be awarded based on your work experience.

2. For your Area of training points to be awarded Your work experience has to be directly related to your degree. The eligibility will be based on the NOC classification vis a vis your work description in your application and certificates of work.

If your degree was more than 5 years old and your work experience was never directly related then your points will not be awarded. Could you tell us what work experience you put down in your application.

Also for it to be awarded your transcript description has to be comparable with the Quebec description.

According to angel 10 Points were awarded for qualification but points not awarded for the area of training which has stricter criteria.

@Angel

Could you tell us when you graduated and if your work experience was directly related to your area of training. You answers should enable other members give you one or two advice regarding your appeal grounds.
