Hello, I have been following this thread for a while now, once you have submitted your application, some have stated that you can update your FRENCH language points and some others have stated that you can not? does anyone have an official source for this? Thanks!

IT IS WELL DEFINED ON THEIR WEBSITE THAT: ANYONE INTENDING TO CLAIM POINTS FOR FRENCH OR ENGLISH MUST SUBMIT ORIGINAL COPIES OF THE RESPECTIVE EXAM CERTIFICATES, AND IF U TICK THE BOX ON THE APPLICATION FORM, YOU MUST ENCLOSE THE ORIGINAL COPY...

ALSO, THEY PRECISE THAT, IN THE ABSENCE ON ANY OF THESE CERTIFICATES, YOU WON'T GAIN ANY POINTS FOR LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY.

ON THE OTHER HAND, IF YOU MEET THE MINIMUM POINTS REQUIRED FOR OPENING A FILE, YOU CAN BE PERMITTED TO SUBMIT YOUR LANGUAGE CERTIFICATES AFTER. THAT IS TRUE, AND ONLY THOSE FOLKS WHO MEET THE MINIMUM THRESHOLD SHOULD SUBMIT, AND UPDATE THEIR FILE WITH THEIR LANGUAGE CERTIFICATES LATER ON IN THE PROCESS.

AND I STILL INSIST THAT, IF YOU DON'T MEET THE CUT-OFF POINTS FOR OPENING A FILE, AS PER THEIR WEBSITE, DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION, THINKING YOU WILL UPDATE THEM LATER, BECAUSE THEY WILL SEND BACK THE FILE FOR "INCOMPLETE APPLICATION" IF YOU TICKED THE BOX........OR "NOT QUALIFIED" IF YOU DIDN'T TICK THE BOX, WITH INCOMPLETE POINTS AND CLAIMED TO UPDATE THEM AFTER.

So I am currently at 50 pts WITHOUT any FRENCH points, now according to what you say on your post I can submit my application now (since I have more than 49 pts) and I can later submit official French test certificate? My goal is to submit A2 or B1 in September so I can reach 55+ points which could well be the "magic number".

I guess that they have extended submission period because they have not received expected target of applications between march 2012 and march 2013.

I equally feel that centralizing submission point to montreal has given room for efficiency.They are likely going to start sending out AOR.

Those missions are for the people waiting for interviews. Those are the dates/cities which quebec officers will be visiting to conduct interviews.

If you plan to apply by June this year, you shouldn't worry about missions until you get the interview invitation letter.

No idea Raghav. But according to my guess, who have applied during the October-December 2010.
I am not sure but this is my assumption.
