I think they will offer reference francization, if you are below 49, since Comp. Oral is A2 with 16+ score. About AOT I do not know what will happen, I am in the same situation. I think it depends on what code you used on your form. If it was U062, and they sent AOR already, basically confirming your AOT, they have to assign the 12 points now.

I don't believe it's valid.
I have my own experience. Before they send AOR they count your points and can reassign your AOT and they usually don't tell you. You will just get your AOR and if you are priority it should say so.
With 12 you should be priority so they should let you know I suppose.

Normally it would be true, but this situation is special, as they have changed the AOT list, and they state, that it is retroactively applied to almost everyone. So this time they should re-evaluate priority also, even if there was AOR already.

That would be strange, to prioritize post-August applicants, and put them ahead of older applicants, who have the same diploma. Although we have seen enough injustice from them in the last weeks...

I think you all should be aware, that Quebec is proposing to outlaw the wearing of any kind of religious symbols. So NO turbans, No signs of being Muslim either in clothing or symbols.

If anyone from a non western country is thinking about Quebec, be aware that it is a very, very racist province and they should think very carefully about going there.

The new government of Quebec does not like non white, non French speaking people.

If adopted, This law will apply only to government workers at the job, for example, public school teachers. Any organization that is not financed by government will not be subject to this law.
Yes, Quebec is not as multi cultural as non-landed immigrants dream in their dreams.

I am an Indian staff nurse who decided to migrate to Canada. The preliminary evaluation done on the Quebec website and the self-evaluation done by myself for Quebec Skilled worker immigration is positive and therefore I have finalized my decision for applying for this visa. (However not yet applied)

The points are as follows:
AGE: 29yrs 16 points
EDUCATION : Bsc (N), MBA distance 10 points calculated for Bsc Nursing only
WORK EXPERIENCE: 36 months 6 points
AREAS OF TRAINING: Nursing 16 points
LANGUAGE:
GT IELTS (L-6.5,R-6,W-6.5,S-7; Overall 6.5) 5 points
french - Nil
FUND REQUIREMENT 1 point
------------------
TOTAL 54 points

I have 36 months of work experience worked 48 hours per week. as per the "GUIDE TO IMMIGRATION PROCESS" document (persent on the quebec website) the total experience becomes

full-time experience in months = hours worked per week / 30 * work experience (in months)

therefore the 36 months experience becomes > 48 months where I can claim additional 2 points.
I completed full-time Bsc Nursing - 4 yrs; MBA distance health services management. My AOT is nursing. but I am not sure whether i can score additional 2 points for MBA.

I just want to waive the selection interview.
Meanwhile, I must get atleast elementary knowledge in french.
If your MBA is able to get you the additional points to get 55 or more, then good for you. However, your 36 months full time experience is only pegged as such, 36 months. The computation I think works only on part time jobs.

"Given that, according to the Statistics Canada definition, all (single or employment) main job held on the basis of 30 hours or more per week is considered a full-time professional experience, it is therefore the duration in months of all these experiences to be the unit of measurement used to evaluate the full-time work. For example, a candidate who has worked for six months on the basis of 50 hours per week must be 4 points criterion time experience, as one who worked 40 hours per week for a similar period."

" If the level was completed more than 5 years before the filing of the DCS must determine whether the candidate has worked for at least one year a profession directly related to his training with a diploma, that is to say a profession for which there is a close correspondence in the National Occupational Classification (NOC). For example, if a candidate earned a degree in biochemistry there are more than five years but it has the profession of chemist, points will be awarded to him, because degree in biochemistry is related to the profession of chemist (NOC 2112). The IMT Emploi-Québec website provides online information the professions (eg, nature of work, main functions, conditions, access) and the correspondence between training and occupations by NOC. The website Infoway FPT MELS also provides connections between secondary vocational training and technical college and careers by NOC. (Taken from Guide to Immigration process)

"Filing" is the word used. Seems to me this is either the date of AOR, or the day they received your file in their office. Any chance that your current line of work is related at all to the your BS Chemistry? Failing that, any chance at all that you could get a job related to Chemistry and satisfy at least 6 months of work experience? This would give you additional 4 points if you're able to do that.

it's based on the date the opened/review your file (data of acknowledgement of receipt - AOR). Not based on the data they study your file. So if your AOR is within 4 years then it should be OK, even if you take 1 more year extra to get to B2.

that's why no interview waiver, they will interview you and see you personally if you meet their society

Dear Friends,
What will happen if draft money is not en-cashed within the specified period of time i.e 3 months? Will they request applicant to submit new draft by sending back old one? Next,is there any provision to contact applicants informing that their draft money is en-cashed?

I got my AOR after 1 month. but now it may take up to 7-9 months to receive AOR depending on your BIQ. So you still have to wait for some time. I think they may allow older applicants extra time to reach B2 if they are 1-2 points short. I'm not sure if this will apply in your case as you are a new applicant and you have a significant difference in points ie. 55 vs 41. So, you need at least 8 more points to reach 49. You can get upto 12 points if you get B2:

Listening 5 points
Speaking 5 points
Reading 1 point
Writing 1 point
