Hello ,
I landed first time in Vancouver in July/2005 ,We stayed there till 2009,
In 2009 we applied for citizenship,In Jan-2010 we applied to renew the PR,
In 2010 we moved to our country due to the critical reason before getting the new PR,I stayed in my country till 2014(During that time i was not able to move Canada)
I applied for PRTD and i got refused to the residency in lhe last 5 years,
My question is mHow i got the refusal due to the residency and i was staying for more that 3 years and i was applying for Citizenship,
Anybody can help me,

Thank you,

To keep your PR status you must live in Canada for 2 out of every 5 years. Since you were outside of Canada for more than three years, you no longer meet the PR residency obligation.

After you apply for citizenship, you must still continue to meet the PR residency obligation until you actually become a citizen.

So it makes sense your TD was refused (you don't meet the residency requirement). You can also assume your citizenship application is now dead since you failed to meet the PR residency requirement.

If you had H&C reasons for remaining in your home country, then you may be able to appeal and save your PR status. What were the critical reasons that kep you in your home country.
