Processing Times for LMO

Here's our timeline:

January 16 - Submitted the application for LMO

January 26 - Received a call from Service Canada that we are approved

Feb 1 - Got the positive LMO in the mail

Hi Everyone,

I came here as an international student and currently with a work permit which expires in august 2013. I have a full time job as a network administrator. I was hoping to apply for the PR in Jan 2013 but that got postponed to May 2013. I am not sure yet if I would need an LMO to extend my work permit.

Is there another way to extend my work permit without bothering my employer?

Your advice would be highly appreciated.

Lmo was issued back in 2011, 2 year work contract. Now the wp expires feb 28. Do I need a new lmo before applying for extension?

Yes you need a new LMO to extend your workpermit.

HI, What I read is after May4th 2013, the -normal- job offer is no longer accepted, you have to have LMO. so my question is:can a new small company apply for a LMO? or there is a criteria for an employer to apply for LMO like being operating for a some years, minimum number of employees, etc..?
