Hi guys, here's my status... my employer sent the application on august, they asked him to post the job on the jobbank website for 14 days. He resubmitted the appication in septembre 15, on the first week of december they told him his application was in queue. He called again 2 weeks ago and they told him he was going to be contacted in a couple of weeks regarding the application. Today he called and they told him that he had to wait a couple of weeks more for the case to be assigned to an somebody in hrsc. So from september 15 it's been 21 weeks !!!!!!! This is ridiculous!!!! Anyone in a similar situation?

I think 12 weeks now is the norm in processing times. Mine was submitted in November 9, 2011. They called up my employer and ask for some more documents in December. last week my employer called up and was informed to expect it late march to april to come out.

Hi All

Been reading this thread with much interest and trepidation.

My husband was offered a job in Toronto and our LMO was submitted on October 25th 2011 to the Toronto Office. We are currently in Melbourne Australia waiting to hear when we can enter the country and going into Week 18 with no real news.

His employer relayed to us on the 25th January 2012 that the case had been assigned (along with all applications submitted between October 14-31). Since that time we have had no more news other than the Relocation Specialist with his company saying "hopefully next week" for the last 3 weeks.

Can anyone confirm that they have in fact received positive LMO outcomes from applications submitted after October???

I want to contact the company direct if this is the case and have them follow up urgently (our cats have been boarding in Vancouver for 2 months now and all of our belongings arrived in Toronto last week but we are still here in Melbourne!)

Hi there,

well my employer submitted the LMO app Nov. 8th and I received my approval letter on Wednesday Feb.8th. I do believe that the processing time has sth to do with the NOC code and through which program you apply, certain jobs take more time to evaluate I assume. But if your husband's app has been assigned to someone it means that you should get an anwser soon.
Good luck!

hmm I think we are going to have to follow up with the company. They haven't confirmed any case numbers/NOC codes with us at any point. All they have told us was that the case is "pending" as of January 25th.
My husband works in the computer games/visual arts industry which is heavily subsidised by the government in OT and QC.
We have had a bit of a rough time as the company advised a 4 week wait initially (incorrectly because they used the template for intra company LMO applications) which we then used as a basis for me to quit my job (legally I had to give 4 weeks notice), sell our house and move our cats and entire house contents over to Canada.
At week 5 we were advised that it would in fact be 8-10 weeks and here we are at week 18

We have been staying with friends for 8 weeks now :(
