hi guys just an update got a reply from cpp ottawa to a message sent aprul 15, but the same message as most of you got, telling me my application has been finalized and already on my way in the mail, but canadapost tracking is not active yet. very frustrating.

I do not know what is going on. So far, I have not seen anybody who submitted their application on March 13 and got their passport back.
Got the same reply last week that my application has been finalised and passport will be returned shortly. Nothing so far.

Exactly. May be these are canned responses. Who knows.
Also, at this time, I would really appreciate if they can give me a real good idea as to when to expect my passport back. Rather than sweating over it everyday. Atleast this way I would know not to worry about it until a certain time and date.

Our office confirms that your application is currently in process as per regulatory procedures.
Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.
Its been 41 days now I didnt receive my visa yet. Already lost $500 for cancellation of my ticket. So frustrated and upset right now.

Finally received my passport today.. I was so scared bcoz my air tickets were already booked for day after tomorrow (24th april) ... Was a very close call.
My timeline is
Passport sent 24th march
Passport received at cpp 26th march
Passport sent from them 19th april
Passport received 22nd april
Best of luck guys ... Hope all of u receive it soon

Lat e-mail received by them on 16 april 2013 saying that the application is currently being reviewed by an officer.
I am worried as it has been much long than the actual processing time.
