hi my name is rafael, uriostegui i applied for the permanent recidence as a skill worker, i do have a work offer from a canadian employer(IHOP restaurant in BC)as a restaurant manager. i was told by my lawyer that the AOR takes around 1- 2 months , it has been 3 months already, any idea how long to get AOR ?
my application was received on april 15th 2008 at the canadian embassy in Mexico City.
any idea how long the whole entire procees will take?
is it true that by having a work offer the process time is shorter?

Hola Rafael,

Saludos.

hey Palomo como estas

Be patient mi amigo, you are up to receive your AOR, it takes about 3-5 months to get it, and yes, if you have already a job offer your process certainly will be speeded up, hopefully less than a year

For your information I am Mexican and I did also apply at Mexico City's Canadian embassy and my AOR took 3 months.

I applied as skilled worker and my complete process took 26 months

Just to make sure, you may want to keep following with your lawyer

Suerte

It's true that if you have a genuine job offer from a Canadian company will shorten the process time. Ask your lawyer regarding 'Arranged Employment', there are additional processes specially on the side of the hiring company but it will surely expedite your application.
