PR VISA (Missed Date)

Hi Guys

I have a strange doubt which i would like to get it cleared ASAP. I have got my PR last year by february 2014 and i was given time till October 2014 for me to come and do the landing formalities. The visa was valid till October 14th 2014. I missed that date because of my family health issues. Since the visa is expired, i dint plan for the trip. request your inputs as to, how to deal with this. PR was my long time dream and i couldn't land before the visa expiry. Please suggest what can be done and how to get an extension for the same

Unfortunately you can't get an extension. PR visas have a "use it or lose it" policy. Since you failed to land before the expiry date, the visa is useless.

You'll have to apply for PR again from scratch (i.e. from the start) assuming you qualify under the current rules.

Man how could you miss your landing date!? Unless you were on a hospital bed all that time, you gotta make the trip to land... It's too late now so you might as well forget about that PR visa because it's just like you never got one. Get a new PR application going is your only option!
