PR Application submitted for dependent child. Apply for visitor extension or not?

Hi
My wife and I are Canadian PRs and had our first girl baby in Sep 2018. She was born outside Canada (India) . We applied and received a visitor visa for the baby and all of us returned to Canada in Feb 2019. The exit date stamped on baby's passport is August 04, 2019.

I have submitted PR application for the baby in May 2019. I have not received any acknowledgement from Immigration office.

My questions:
a. Should I apply for visitor visa extension for my baby (because there is no other legal government approval for the baby to stay beyond August 04, 2019?)
b. Should I have to keep doing this visitor visa extension until a decision is made on the PR application?

i hv applied for my kid in June 2019. When did you receive any acknowledgment from IRCC , I mean how many days after your Application.

Sponsorship application approved - Jan 29, 2019
Received medical instruction - 16 April 2019
Request for additional information by ircc - 15 May 2019
Decision made and passport submitted - 10 July 2019

Today is July 28, and we are still waiting not sure what is happening...??
