CIC will start accepting applications again the first business day of January 2016. Make sure your application reaches CIC on that first day. This year the cap was reached in a day and a half.

scylla was right.

I just want to add the following as MUST:

(1) You have to make sure that your application reaches CPC-Mississauga on the very first day (preferably by noon) CIC re-opens PGP for 2016. It will probably on Monday, Jan 4, 2016. Choose your courier wisely. Keep yourself updated from CIC website.
(2) Use the latest forms. CIC sometimes tends to update the forms at the minute. Make sure there is no mistake with all signatures given.
(3) Use correct method of payment.

I'm one of the 2015 PGP applicants. We had a stressful period during the first week of the year. Lot pf people missed out from the 5,000 cap for the above reasons. You can check our Google SS to have a better idea.

morning

It being Monday,is there an option to deliver
on Friday? Pls advise

Jan 1 of 2016 is a Friday which is a holiday. Assuming CIC would re-open PGP on Monday, Jan 4, 2016, you can send your application on Thursday, Dec 31, 2015. GTA applicants have some advantages over out-of-town/out-of-province people as they can use same day delivery. Moreover, the local GTA courier services proved to be most efficient this year compared to the big ones.

But you need to be careful about these:
1. Since Jan 1 is a holiday; most courier last pickup hour changes on Dec 31. I was a victim of this although I was told otherwise by UPS before. I'm also out-of-town and there are not many options here. Lot of things happened that day and I was scared to death that my application would not count although I was well prepared. Anyway, my application reached on Jan 5 instead of Jan 2 via Fedex; but luckily it made it (thanks to Fedex at the end as their time-stamp is very authentic).
2. You may want to wait few hours in the morning of Dec 31 before sending your application just in case CIC makes any last minute update on any of the forms. This is entirely up to you when you should choose to dispatch your application.
3. CIC will not accept any application that reaches CPC-Mississauga before the day it re-opens PGP for 2016.

If I did not make it in 2015; I would perhaps stay in Mississauga on Jan 3, 2016 and use a local courier to send my application by 10 am on Jan 4, 2016.

To add to the above - your application must be couriered or mailed. You cannot drop it off in person since Mississauga does not accept in-person drop offs.
