Police clearence / Spouse.

Hi all,

I'm in the process of collecting supporting docs, what if i couldn't get a police clearence for my spouse?? I already get mine FYI, would they still consider that i'm short of evidence and refuse my application?? Seniors pls..

i am no expert but the answer is probably. They need to know that you wife is not a security threat.
Is it that you cannot get her PCC or would it just be delayed?

Yes ...you definattely need to arrange police clearance for your spouse too..

the point is she already took a loan from that country, and i'm afraid that they wouldn't give her a PCC since she left the country now.
will they consider taken a loan an obstacle not to give her a PCC???

in most countries, taking a loan is not a crime. Anyway, if there is a crime committed, she will still get a PCC except it will mention the crime but in your case, taking a loan is not a crime.

But Rupeshrai.....The point is that she left that country withour informing the bank and after a certain period, might be Bank have reported it in any police station.and depends that from how long the loan installment is pending.

In places like the US, most banks will report the person to credit bureau unless they have cause to believe s/he willfully defrauded them.
Generally, as far as I know, one doesn't get reported to the police for non-repayment of loan. I am guessing all this.

I don't know how it works in other countries.

First of all, Everybody in the family who has attained/above the age of 18 is required to produce a PCC from a country he or she has lived in for a minimum of 6 Months, correct me if I am wrong.
Secondly, how come a person who takes a loan and runs away without paying it has not committed a crime?
As per my understanding, It is not a crime, only if you file for Bankruptcy, but to abscond is ...............!!!!


In this case, it is the spouse of the applicant, who definitely needs a PCC!!!!!

Oh definitely, you have to get police clearance for your spouse. Escaping loan is not a crime, so you better take a try.

I think you should request for the PCC and when they come you take a look and see what it says b4 sending it ti CIC. If the only issue is a Loan then you do not have any problem.I have never heard of a country where they report bank loans to the police. The police are not dept collectors.

I have some more questions pls.
1.My application dead line to send New Delhi CIC is 3rd of july 2009.I have applied PCC from LONDON and its on way .but defanatly i can not submit PCC original one.My frnd who applied for PCC from London he sent scan copy before courier it.
2.Applied for my wife and not received yet from India as we applied 5 days back.I dont have time to get this within the time.
3.If i send my full Application to Delhi embassy after the dead line means next week of july 09 between 6th to 10th of july.do they accept my application or going to Reject.pls could u clear my doubts.do they give some couple of days as extra time to submit?

you dont have an option here. send the scan copy. and write an explanation that you wee unable to obtain it in time, and the original is in courier. You will send it as soon as you receive it.

applied just 5 days back? that's not very good when you ere reaching deadline. if 5 working days are gone, it should be there if appied in SP office. you can't do much here but for writing another explanation. you're in thick soup.

must reach by July 03, else file will be closed, as per the rules. they may consider a late application but it will be the dicretionof the immigration officer

In my case, I am also in process of collecting all documents to submit by full application new delhi. Spouse had resided in 2 countries i.e. India and Nigeria. I have got the PCC from Nigeria for the spouse but PCC from Mumbai, India is getting delayed.

Can anyone please advice whether PCC of Nigeria would be sufficient alone or PCC from India is also required in her case.

As a principal applicant, I have PCC for both Nigeria as well as India.

Please comment.

Thx for ur reply aanban.Actuall i thought iam the mail applicant and also my consultant asked all document and said that he will courier to me as iam not living same city.i havnt received yet.tomorrow is last day to send.do u want me send tomorrow my application?.
