I called online and check status of pr application. Automated msg gave me response that i passed medical and background in processing.

Aug 21 - Medical Passed

As of today BC still not yet started. How long will I expect them to start the BC? Thanks

but seems a glitch as even applicants that have't received medicals got bgip.

Can you share examples of folks who havent done medicals and still received? In my opinion its legit because all of us are due to background processing.

I logged in the morning there was one change that we are processing your background chaecks. But it was yet showing submitted.
And i checked it again this afternoon it was showing updated. And no change inside.

A number of folks (i.e. Jawahar Korpu, Manshersandhu, karan gulati, Champs88) who submitted Application in Feb 2017 and not yet got MR also have BGIP today.

I had exactly the same message as you AC.R, in the morning BGIP and in the afternoon it said updated but no change inside, it still says BGIP though.

Hi all!
I havent received any email from cic regarding MR. but my application status on the background check column says: we are processing your background check. We will send etc...
Is this possible at all? I mean, i did not undergo the usual process of getting my medicals at all.
Also my application changed from No action required to submitted.
Really confusing eh?
