my file was received on 20th September and started processing on 22th September , no MR yet and i got notification like we need additional document to process your application from last June, i send them inquiry regarding those message, they said it's a technical fault but still there is same message and i haven't got medical request or anything change from last 8 months.
I am really worried.
I think there are a couple of teams working on the files. Yours might be worked by a different team than mine. I would say don't be too worried. Your MR should be before the end of the year or in Jan. My friend applied a month later than me and they got MR yesterday.

Oct 20 2016 Alberta PNP Inland applicant here and no MR yet, but now have the "we are reviewing you medical exam results" status. So it is probably coming for everyone in our timeframe very soon.'

Update (20/12/17): I got the MR for our principal applicant today, but no MR yet for the other applicant in our application. Does anyone know if the non-principal applicant MRs come soon after or is there a waiting period? Since everyone requires one, I am just hopeful it comes ASAP.

Update 2 (21/12/17): Our second IMM1017 (or MR) showed up this morning, so we got both of them now. So for those who may also be waiting for multiple ones for all dependents listed under your primary applicant, give it a day or two.

If anyone who has yet to do the Medical Check, I thought I would share what is actually done. I found it less of an actual medical exam than I went into it thinking. Although, perhaps it is different being an inland applicant versus one outside Canada.

20 October 2016 – Inland PR applicant (Alberta PNP)
20 December 2017 – Medical request
27 December 2017 – Medical done

At Doctors Office (Medical ‘Exam’):
1. Via nurses: height, weight, blood pressure check, vision check from chart 30ft away
2. Via doctor: usual basic health and family health questions, ear and mouth check, check for lumps/pain in stomach

At Pathology Lab (Blood work):
1. Urine and blood sample (testing for HIV, TB, Syphilis, and etc.)

At X-Ray Lab (Chest X-Ray):
1. Chest X-Ray

Total cost: $400 CAD
Total time (including waiting time): 2.5 hours

The Doctors office usually will send the results within 5 to 10 business days. And the CIC will update your account after 2 weeks to medical review passed.

Yep, sounds about right. Those like me who had it done during the holiday break might have to wait another couple days. Of course, after 9 months of waiting for the Medical Request, a few extra days is nothing.

My husband and I got our BOWPs last year in May and they are about to expire on May 18th 2018.
We got our MRs on December 19th and I am not convinced we will have our PRs by May...

Will you guys be extending your work permits if by the end of their validity you don't have PR or will you continue to work in implied status while waiting for the decision? Also, the thing is my husband is a trucker and crosses the US border daily... So I guess it's inevitable for us.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
