I did upfront medical check in March, but I got medical requests email on April 29! I called CIC they found my medical info in the system, however for some stupid reason Sydney office couldn't find it! They sent me second email to do medical check! I called CIC again, finally they found! It's happen to lots of people at that time!

Same thing happened to me, I got the request for sending schedule A on April 28 which I sent right away via email. I got the confirmation after few days that my docs were recieved, then they sent another email on may15 asking for the same(I accidentally left a gap that was required to be filled) so I corrected it and resent via email. Then I got 3rd email on July 6th for same gap. Which I emailed, and courier and after I recieved the documents recieved confirmation after 3weeks I called cic call centre to confirm the arrival of docs. Phew.... Finally they got them. I recieved my first GCMS notes yesterday that every document is on file, everything(eligibility,medical,criminality all clear for both me and husband. Security in progress. I was just concerned regarding the Location which was PS-DEPENDENT ISSUE but was actually a glitch. It is under pre screening. Let's hope it doesn't get delayed. I pray for all who have been entered in the error but we're actually clear.

As indicated in the PPR email, i sent them an email asking to send me instructions for my wife.

honestly...you should get it before the end of October, but I dont know how is your case....

Today is looking good. It looks like they are working by dates. Looks like they have a pile or application that has been put there according to when they got ready, that's why we see sometimes jumps. If one application from July 20th got ready their last background check before one application from june 20th, I guess that's why some are faster than others.

I just wonder. Any of the people from june waiting.....have you guys missed any deadline? Or delivery something later than everybody else? Let's say they ask for schedule A and you provide it 2 weeks later than average. Or they ask for medicals and for whatever reason you get the request on april 29th, but it takes you 3 weeks to do it. Or for your background check, let's say you are from a country where is harder for IRCC to make consultations, or you have travel to many different countries.....I dont know. Things like that.
I think that sometimes maybe that could be the reason you lose your spot in the pile of applications and you see a few coming earlier than yours.
Same happens when you are only one applicant or there is one person applying with an spouse and children. It has to take more time to check those applications.

hmm I have not received any request for additional document.. I'm a single applicant. Inland worker. Working in Canada. Can't think of anything that could delay my application lol

there is always the exception that confirms the rule.

I am trying to figure it out as well. PS is paper screen so as per the info I think basically they are screen the dependant. Did they ask her for any additional document?

If your employer is not very bad and they do understand your implied status...I would suggest apply on 3rd November, 2016. You are 100% legal if you apply before expiry. I can share cic link if you want to show your employer.
