No. The asylum seeker cannot visit their home country until they are a Canadian citizen. If they do so before becoming a citizen, they will put themselves at risk of cessation which means having their PR status revoked due to reavailement. You can't do that officially. If they gave you a travel document they will mention that you can't travel to your home country, so at the airport when they read this note on the document they will deny you boarding any flights going to your home country.
