I am sponsoring my spouse in Lebanon, and I live in Canada, for photo evidence do I send the original photos and expect them to send them back or do I just photocopy the photos that we have together (in coloured ofcourse). I can also print pictures out from the computer, but is that ok if they are on normal white paper not photo-like paper.

Thanks,

Assume you will get nothing back so send copies. Photocopies, computer prints, whatever, just copy it if you can't replace it. I'm sure the type of paper does not matter.

I personally sent computer lab prints as our photos are all digital so replacement prints can be made as many times as we please. I did it this way a) because I don't have a printer at home, b) didn't want to send black & white prints from the work printer, and c) I felt lab prints showed I was willing to go the extra mile for our application. That said, lab prints are absolutely NOT a requirement.

Most people get their photos back, but this is not a guarantee. Definitely scan and print them out.

Thanks,
With my photos, I put them into a word document, two per page. This allowed me to write a description for each photo: date, location, who is in the photo, and a comment explaining its relevance to the applicaion. I tried to provide photos wherever I could to backup my answers in the forms. For example: "Has your spouse met any of your friends?". Of course I wrote in the names of friends she had met on the form, then also provided photograpic evidence of the occasion. Same thing with meeting each other's family, etc.

I printed them all on plain paper.

I did the same.
FYI We are from the Paris office, and have not received the pics back (it has been 9 months since he landed).
