Hi

My brother applied for his PR and now it's been 20 months. He went for a master's degree and after 2 years of studies he did apply for it. But even now when we check it's showing 'processing' . He called the immigration and even sent mails and also made a lawyer check his status . But all are saying the same, thrs nothing wrong in your application..All documents and everything is perfect,it's just his bad luck. His work permit is expiring next month but thankfully got renewed it for a year yesterday.

Can someone please help me with this ? Now since he got his work permit renewed, will his PR be more delayed ? His life is in a complete stop now..He is not able to change his job as most companies are asking for PR and also it's been almost 3 years that he has been home. He can't even travel.

I would be so grateful if any of you could please help me.

I won't be able to meet my 730 days for or renewal I'm currently in Canada, I have a Canadian child. Should I still apply for child benefits?
