Once again, this is so unfair with regards to those who got transferred to LVO rather than CPP-O I am from a different LVO but my parents home country also prohibits passport mailing to /from the country so i might end up with a similar problem when the time comes ...

So far, unfortunately, I have not heard of anyone with cases in LVOs (not Ottawa) and parents visiting in Canada who were able to somehow arrange passport submission (for visa 'stamping' ) to Seattle (rather than to home country). If anyone was able to get this done I would love to hear about this (in all examples I encountered, parents ended up going back to submit passports).


I wonder if there is any explicit operational manual prohibiting this...

One of my friend's parents got passport request. The file is in CPP-O. Medicals were done in October in India and e-cas was updated with Medical Results recieved sometime in November.

Passport request is for Seattle office, but his parents are in India. My friend is sending an email to Ottawa requesting them to change visa office to New Delhi for passport submission.

They have asked to submit passport within 45 days to hongkong LVO not delhi. His parents are in Canada and the passport request was not for Seattle.

How did you contact them and how long they took time to respond?Is new pp request coming from ottawa or seattle?can you share your timeline rajmalhotra?

I sent email to CPP-O on November 27 and got a reply via email on November 30 that they will change visa office to Seattle. Within couple of hours, I got another email from CPP-O, with New passport request for Seattle office, on my Father's email address which was mentioned on IMM0008 form. My father's email address is different from that I used to email CPP-O.

The communication was from CPP-O and NOT Seattle.

finally got the passport request email today dec 6th from Ottawa pilot 2 months and 3 days after medical they also asked for 3 updated pictures.... so happy so see how fast things have gotten anyway good luck to rest of ppl on this forum hope all u guys get united soon with you parents brothers and sisters.....
one more thing is it better to send the passport to vfs or the high commission itself... thanks in advance
