For those of us who think a visa is going to be issue before the expiration of the medicals ( usually 12 months from the date the medicals were done) read the foollowing link.

It seams they can extend the initial medical certificate with another 12 months as long as the extension was request before 15 months were passed from the initial medical checks.

Some should prepare for long waits.

I think I used followiing three documents
Cancelled Indian passort
OCI card
Marriage Certificate

Not sure but the "Record of Landing" might also have parents detials on it

Actualy if you read carefully, its Certificate of DOB, different from Registrar

There are many cases in Islamabad where the medicals of parents got expired .To some people they asked to redo the medicals and some didn't hear anything from them after the medical expiry.Looks like ISB has mind of their own and not following any new processing guidelines set out by Ottawa.

Looks like if you guys don't bring the attention to the MP and Ministry, ISB and Singapore LVO will not speedup soon.At least I don't see any hope.My MP did inquirey about my file at singapore, And Singapore response 38 more months needed. I explain MP that 2008 applicant getting visa but my file hasn't start processing yet even though I applied 2007. Looks he can't help anying except informing ministry. I am so frustrated and deprerssed!! Don't understand why it is like that !!!

Hi veeru, I couldn't find my original birth certificate n they are not going to accept photocopy...therefore, m going to send certified copy of my Indian passport n my school certificate

To me it looks like some employees of CIC are trying to be very loyal and over efficient then needed to make Jason Kenny happy.Instead of following new guidelines they are just trying to minimize the entries of family class to minimum.Our LVO s are not even in top ten Lvos for parents.Even then we don't see any movement or visas.
They have stretched the timeline to beyond 7 years.I don't understand the LVO's which makes top 10 list for parental visas are issuing visas non stop and the one which already have less files are not budging.
Like our countries' politicians and beurocracy ,unfortunately we got the same kind of material from Canada for our LVo's.

I am sending original birth cert, original school cert ( only has fathers name )

Certified ( notarized ) copies of old Indian passport ( 5 of them ) showing name of parents, OCI showing name of parents

Yes the Islamabad and Singapore LVO's have taken the waiting time to apporx 6 to 7 years :/ Too much of wait. We are waiting since 4.5 years, Lts see when we will finally get the Visa in our hands :/..
