Hello.This is my first posting on this site and i hope users on this site will guide and advise me in getting through my situation.I have applied for my mother in h&c class within canada.We get preapproval in first month of this year.After that cic have asked for background clearance check,medical and other documents and we submit them.File has now been trasferred to local cic office and they have asked to appear for landing interview with 2 photos and free of $490.What are they going to ask in interview and what are chances of success as my mother is only one left back home as my father expired few years back and brother lives in abroad too.No one is in back home is there to take care of and my brother abroad is not that financially strong to take care of my mother.Please reply to my post .Thanks.

Good for you and I think the interview is pretty general but I don't get 1 thing, your mother is back home so how did she apply for H&C within? btw, was it approved as she was alone as we tried this 4 years ago as well , got refused

So finally the wait is over - my parents got their passports with visas and confirmation of permanent residence - just need to book tickets for them.

Thanx kandel for ur reply.....actually as per e-cas status (jan 2012 shows decesion made under sponsership part) its almost 9 mnths since my file is in ND but i havn't recvd anything frm them....my parents got their pcc already n m afraid dat its gona get expire in couple of months....i sent case inquery but no reply...i heard if we enquire through MP then u get reply soon....any thoughts on that frm u, pls update

I thought you said in your last post that you received an aor from new delhi no?
I would definately recommend you to see your mp...you just have to call at their office in your city..make an appointment and ask them to check on your behalf sometimes MP is not available so his/her assistant will help you.

my sister is 21 years old when the cic received our application august 2008

and now shes 25 years old single and full time study.

does she classify as dependant of my mother still? do i need to pay for her fee ? or i just need to pay for 490$ for my mom . my brother is 18 years old?

finally i have completed step 1 yayyyyyy my file went to New Delhi as i have a dependant

Sorry for confusion
i just found my original RPRF receipt just to confirm that i was right.
you need to fill yours (SPONSOR'S) information on that receipt your sending them.
name,address,date of birth,client id,postal code and phone number. send them one and keep one for your record

My parents medicals are expiring on 22nd November 2012. They have not yet received Passport request. GCMS file notes says Criminality not yet started.

my grandmother however is flying to Canada in October. her file had same time lines and her medicals were to expire on 2nd november. her passport request came in Feb 2012.

why both cases are not taken care fo at same time.

My parent got message today from courier that there passports have received they r going tommorow
To collect them .. We got passports back in a week what abt u Panjab any news so far

You need to complete with Sponsor's info. Reason: If CIC has to adjust/return the fee then it is easier for them to deal with Canadian institutions.
