Hi everyone
I am currently on an lmo work permit and want to start my pr application. My wife is a citizen so we will be doing spouse sponsor. I was told once the first section is approved I can get an open work permit. I've looked online and it says 11 months as we will be applying within canada. Is the information correct?
Also if I am applying from within canada do I need a medical with my application or can I get one later on during the application?
Any information would be great.thanks

Yes - if you are applying inland, you will qualify for an open work permit once your application has been approved for stage one. This is currently taking 11 months. If you apply outland, you don't qualify to apply for an OWP.
