If they request an interview, I would hope they realise you will need your passport to travel and will post it to you. lol Well, you can always request them to send it to you for that purpose. Also, note that you may require a US visa if you are not from a visa-exempt country.

If the applicant is inside Canada, application for work permit should be mailed to the US (NYC). What if the person is called for an interview? How can that person enter the U.S. if the original passport is included in the application package submitted to New York office.

All the information you have posted are very useful for sure a lot people reading it got relieved.

I got few more questions but let me ask first this:

1. Is mailing your application for work permit to US is the only option? How about "Flagpolling" would that also fine to get your work permit?
