Realised (yes with an S not a Z) I really miss mini-cheddars. Marmite flavour of course!

And thanks to whoever reminded me of Galaxy chocolate. I remember eating a 1kg bar throughout one evening supplemented by some white wine (french crap but half the price of the airfare they must have to pay to import it here!)

"Fanny" gets me howling every time and try calling someone a twit or saying "see you next Tuesday"... Got a bunch of Canadians at work loving that sentence!

I just realiSed.... that I really grew up in a Brit home even though I have never set foot there.

I spell cheque, colour, and realised the right way.

I love cucumber sandwiches and steak and kidney pie... oh and bangers and mash!!!

I call people twits all the time. :p

Brit Cadbury's is the BEST!!!

I suppose my Nan was not a Marmite fan given that I had never heard of it. But I never really realised how much of an affect she actually had on me....her and her never ending supply of tea and biscuits.

Your statement shows me that you have a good understanding of these two groups of people, I don't disagree :)

Twits, now that brings back memories - far better that a term used in Canada "retard" or "retarded" (not good words IMO).

As for the never ending supply of tea and biscuits, I have an aunt who always has a teapot full of tea ! She must make tea every ten minutes - LOL.

My mother-in-law always uses a teapot, but uses teabags in it?!? I've tried to explain that the whole point of teabags is to stop the need for teapots & tealeaves but she says it tastes better?? She's not American, but is clearly quite insane!

Whats wrong with using teabags in a teapot? That's all I've ever known! Yorkshire tea - mmm!
I'll add that to my list of things to bring back.

Tea made in a cup with a bag is too strong for me. So I have to side with the MIL on that one. I too prefer a teapot..... but Earl Grey for me please ;D

Although after spending time with my husband in Morocco I now love Moroccan mint tea...mmmmm sweetened no less!!

A teapot was used with tealeaves so that they could brew in the pot, teabags were supposed to save time on warming the pot/brewing time etc. She still uses 1 bag per cup so it's the same strength as if she made it straight in a cup, I love her but popping round for 'a quick cuppa' took and extra 20 minutes just because of the teapot debacle, and it still taste exactly the same as when I make it at home in a cup!

I remember my grandmother visiting us from England when I was a kid and she would always bring us "shineys" - sparkly stickers. And she swore up and down that the milk must go into the teacup BEFORE the tea is poured and that she could tell the difference if it wasn't made correctly. Crazy old bat! LOL Just kidding - my grandma was awesome!!! She also used to bring us the Club chocolate bars - those were so good, especially the orange ones!!!!

My nan used to say the same thing, and then I'd put too much milk in and it would be disgusting, if it's not strong it's just not worth it!!!
