October 2013 Citizenship Applications

for your information : I just called CIC, the call agent says that they are opening the applications received on the 19th of september, the last time their information system was updated was the 7th of december, so we can say that a week ago, they were opening the applications of the 19th. The 7th of december was a sunday.

Last time I called it was on monday and they told me that they were opening the applications of the 25th of september, I called again to double check, and the second agent gave me the same answer!

i don't think they process the applications strictly in the order they are received.

My ecas has been updated on 13 December 2013 as follows:

01.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 15, 2013.

02.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 15, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

03. We started processing your application on December 11, 2013.

Based on the info submitted by april applicants and providing that you don't get an RQ and that CIC continues to work as they were working for the april applicants, then you might take the test in may or in june 2014.
