One question though, have you guys been receiving emails from Ottawa Pilot Imm or CIC? Mine was from Ottawa Pilot, not sure what exactly it means...anyone know?

Looks like some applications were processed in Ottawa and others in Mississauga. Most of the Ottawa ones seem to be the ones just getting approved now. But I am not 100% sure on that.

Same with ours. It says Meds rcvd...not sure what it means and the officer was: SL1732

That is a good question. I have heard with the new system of medicals being done electronically it is a quicker process and does not always mean that the file has been arrived at the VO but that CIC has matched your file to your medical.

Hopefully a senior member will have some insight!

This is taken fron the ecas site.

Medical Results Received by CIC
We have received your medical results. We will contact you only if additional tests are needed.

If you log into ecas you will see links at the bottom that will open up a page with some explanations for the terms used on ecas. And as it says here,,,when you recieve notice that your medical has been recieved it means that it arrived at CIC and probably already has been assessed. At the very least you know that they have your medical and it didn't get lost somewhere. As to when your application will arrive at your VO. When you recieved notification of sponsorship approval it should have indicated that your application has been forwarded to the VO you indicated on your application. From that moment it should take 4 -15 days for them to recieve it.....You may or may not recieve an AOR. Depends on the VO.

Hi All,
I just noticed the same thing on ecas! Sponsorship app says "Decision Made". Under the applicant section it says "Application Received" but when you click the link it now has a sentence saying that the medicals have been received.
Its encouraging! So nice to see movement finally!
We received our email from the Ottawa Pilot and it was signed by Officer LN00466.

i've been slacking on the immigration forum, been so busy with work lately... 6 days a week is really kickin my butt. but anyways, just wanted to say congrats william coates : ) you must be relieved. no more CIC for you until you apply for citizenship! luckyyyy.

Yes its great having the papers completed. Actually my wife that will be doing the citizenship. I'm just the happy hubby/sponsor who started the ball rolling...Now comes the packing........My wife's visa is good unto Oct 5 so she has some time to get organized. I am returning to canada in april to apt hunt, and start new job and she will follow in august with the kids,,,,,Can't wait. Last time she visited canada in2005 it was -35. She nearly froze solid coming out of the airport, ha ha.

lol oh woops! well either way no more CIC woo hoo! i hope that i dont unexpectedly get my approval and then have to land and not be in any way prepared for it. -35 thats freezing. where in canada do you live? my husband lives in hamilton, ontario. i love it there even though he thinks it's dirty, it's a lot cleaner than some places in connecticut haha. its funny how much i hate the cold and i'm moving to a country that's known for it's cold weather, i think what really kills me when im there more than anything is the wind chill, i think the coldest i experienced in hamilton was -25

It does get cold. I remember one time up in kirkland lake having a temp 0f -45,,,,-70 with the wind chill. I know hamilton well. I live in Guelph which is just north west of there.

Hey bscinto92,

I'm in Hamilton now, and I gotta say... it's not great! I do however think, company makes it better. This winter has been really mild, we haven't seen anything south of 20. They don't make the winters like they used to everyone says.

I don't particularly like the cold either so I can't say I mind!
