I did my test on August 6th and yes they looked at my PR card but they never took it.

I would assume you hand it in as you receive your citizenship certificate..... or when you send off for passport. Otherwise, there is a period of a few months depending on when you get called for oath where you will not be able to travel.

I took my test on August 5. Today I see that my ECAS has been updated to include following 4th line after about a month since I took the exam:

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 8, 2014.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 4, 2015.
3.We started processing your application on February 16, 2015.
4.We sent you a notice on July 21, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on August 5, 2015 at 8:00 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

But nothing yet as to about the oath date. Any similar experience?

Same happened to me today as well, the test line appear after I took my exam on Aug 11.... did your status changed to Decision made ? or still under process?

I took my test August 6th in the morning and my status changed to Decision Made that same afternoon.

But the 4th line just appeared on my Ecas today mentioning the notice to take the test....

No sign of oath yet... hopefully its only a few weeks away...

I'm happy to report that we (wife & self) have received our oath notification. Our application was sent/received on Sep 9, 2014. Our test was July 23, 2015, and the Oath will be on Wed Sep 16, 2015. One year and a week after application.

They are catching up.

Yeah I took the test on July 30th and still waiting, it's been decision made for 3 weeks now.

I think by my calculations of the dates, I should be getting oath invitation for last week of September of first week of October. Until there is something missing in my file and they still working on it.

I had my test on the 26th (passed 20/20) and checked ecase today.

The status has changed to decision made. ;D ( I only see 4 lines, but I do not care as overall is decision made)

And they told me at the end of the interview that I will receive oath invitation within 1-3 month. Looks like I will look into the mailbox every day starting September 26th.

Got good news just now!
my time line is:
1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 9, 2015.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 11, 2015.
3.We started processing your application on April 27, 2015.
4rth line was missing since June, file transferred to Calgary.
New line tonight:
4.We sent you a notice on September 2, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on September 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM.

I have few questions for your kind response;
1. Does anybody else has got same date test invite?

2. I know book is necessary to read few times, any other online test material to study or just book?
3. what to take with me when go for test. ID etc?

me the same day test date passed july 21 /2015 , applied on august 9 th /2013, waiting for the oath , the officier told me 1 to 3 months
hopefully, we ll receive the oath soon
