CalgaryBD - I received a letter on Sept 7th informing me that my oath will be on October 5th.

Received my oath letter yesterday for October 5th. Timeline is: App received October 23, 2014 Test August 6, 2015 Oath October 5, 2015

Looks like Calgary really want to get caught up on the oath backlogs... Just looked up the schedule and there are 3 oath ceremonies on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday next week. They used to only hold them on 2 days a week.

I took my test August 6th in the morning and my status changed to Decision Made that same afternoon. But the 4th line just appeared on my Ecas today mentioning the notice to take the test.... No sign of oath yet... hopefully its only a few weeks away...

I did my test on August 6th and yes they looked at my PR card but they never took it. I would assume you hand it in as you receive your citizenship certificate..... or when you send off for passport. Otherwise, there is a period of a few months depending on when you get called for oath where...

Babi22, yes just the CBSA exit report...

I took a copy of my degree certificate from the UK when I did my test a couple of weeks ago, they never looked at it. They just checked off the Certificate of Permanent Residence, had a quick look at my passports (current and expired), then went through the passport and ticked the dates off...

Just looked up the oath dates for calgary for July. Seems there are quite a few ceremonies towards the end of July. Hopefully this will help clear up the backlog of people waiting for oath and further shorten processing times Any idea how many people are invited to each oath ceremony?

My timeline so far: Application received - Oct 23 2014 AOR - Jan 23 2015 LOT - ??? Anyone have an idea when I can expect LOT? What are the chances I get test and oath in 2015?

I see from a previous post there are oath dates on Feb 9, 11, 12 & 13. Is it normal to have so many oath sittings at once? Or is this 'possibly' the start of clearing the back log and speeding up processing?

Which people are getting called for their test in Edmonton these days? What Month/Year did they apply?

Does anyone know what the number is to call to find out about application status. Mine was received on October 26, 2014 but I havent heard anything back yet. Cheers

I sent mine off and it was received on October 26 2014. Havent heard anything since. Im applying from Fort Mac so assuming Edmonton is where mine will be processed.

Its still pleasing to hear they are putting plans in place to quicken things up. I appllied from Fort Mac so Im guessing Edmonton is where my application will be processed. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Thanks for the info Bambino, if you find out more, please share with us. Would be great to see Alberta coming back in line with the other provinces for processing times.
