Hi Experts,

My name is Ravi and I am from India.

I have recently received invitation to apply for PR under Canadian experience class but my concern is I had 2283 as my primary code when I submitted my express entry profile as NOC code was not shown in my Work permit document as it was just saying "Test specialist-Test consulting". I just put the NOC code based on the roles and responsibilities that I was performing while I was working in Canada. Later during the process of collecting supporting documents, I found out a letter that was sent to Visa office for processing a Work permit in which it says "Test Specialist- Test consulting, NOC#2171".

I tried contacting many people and also sent an email to BAGLR-IMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca and noc@workingincanada.gc.ca but no response.

So please let me know if I can use 2171 as my NOC code for submitting PR application even though I have 2283 in Express Entry profile? Can you please let me know if this could lead to rejection of my application or can I go ahead and submit my PR profile as I have all the documents ready. I found that both 2283 and 2171 have similar job roles that lead to have this confusion.

I could not contact CIC customer care -18882422100 since I am currently in India.

Your help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,
ravinara

Did you change the NOC code? Finally in which NOC Code did you apply for your Express entry profile?
Have you got your PR now?

I have to request my company to give a reference letter with detailed job description and that matches my WP NOC

And I also wrote an explanation letter why my current title is different than the NOC titles even though the job description is same as WP NOC

Now got the PR

Thanks
Karthik

That for reply. So did you resubmit your application as you said in previous comment or you asked them to reopen your application? And how long did it take to get PR?

Hi @itkarthik ,

just want to know did they open your previous application once you submitted all those documents or you have to resubmit your application? And another question how long did they take to reject your application I mean with in 30 days they did or when you were actually expecting your PPR then they sent to rejection message.
My other question is they directly rejected or they came back to you with question/verification?
I would really appreciate if you could answer my all questions.

They rejected almost 3 months after applying , and there was no question but direct rejection after my medical status was changed to passed - i went back for details and they provided specific responses then.( Basically the employee reference letter was missing Job description and i had a wrong NOC)
So i have to submit a entirely new application with the correct NOC and the relevant documentation.

thank for your reply. I called IRCC customer service and found i already met Eligibility Criteria. I guess that is important stage where they check NOC and all.
