Nigerians that have applied for Federal Skilled Workers 2013 program

Congrats loofy, what do you guyz think about updating POF regardless of the fact that they didnt ask? Remember the POF we submitted as off then is now outdated. CIC increased the amount of POF some months ago.

Hello Shinemaster, this is what I think. As at last year the POF for family of 3 was 17k CAD and now it is 18k CAD, assuming you sent POF for 17k CAD exactly or something less than 18k which is for family of 3 now. The visa office will give you the chance to update POF because they will assume you have insufficient funds unless proven by you with updated POF. I think AVO will ask some people for POF if they notice that what they presented last year is lesser than what is on the site now. And the notice for this updated POF is usually very short like 2wks. So we should all have our POF ready whether or not they ask. My submission

2. Are Nigerians eligible to apply for work permits at the POE (Point of entry) ?
3.Is it possible for another country to process the work permit ? For example can a Nigerian send his work permit application to Ghana CIC?

@ ojooluseguno, my application package was also returned due to payment issues. I applied initially in July and re-submitted in September. The date on my ECAS is the re-submission date which is September. Lucky you. The original application date was locked down for you.

It really feels good to know that AVO has started with 2013 applicants.

Also loofy was the marriage certificate u sent only the one from Redeem? i sent both church and Court...was that wat u sent or only church?

I sent only the church because the date of the church and registry are different and its the church date I wrote as my date of marriage

I also think that as long as your POF is sufficient as at date,they may not request updated POF.I added my baby to our application in July and I didn't send any new POF cause my initial POF could still accommodate an additional child and still,they didn't request for new POF from us.my opinion too
