Dear Qorax,

My husband and I intend to land in Toronto late March / Early april 2012. I currently work as a Secretary cum Assistant and my husband is a Sales & Marketing professional. May I request your advice on what are our chances of getting a job in our respective professions right away. We intend to land in Toronto. We are both mentally prepared to do survival jobs however if there is something that allows us to settle down faster (read better pay packets) I would appreciate any suggestions you can give in this context.

Hi, aamirwarsi,

In order to work as dental Assistant you need to do local dental assistant certificate course, which is about 10 month course . May you can work in dental clinic as administrative assistant or clinical office assist, appointment or receptionist . Most off clinic will ask for that also to have local certificate to know about local billing, health system and OIHP system (due to legal liabilities issues).
