But why are you waiting for your wife's PR to apply for your son's passport? Is that necessary?
you could have applied for Citizenship Cert & sons PP together, but why didn't you?

Without Citizenship Certificate one needs to show proof of travel to Canada like full paid air ticket, spouse visa, any emergency etc etc to apply for babys passport..In my case it will be my spouse visa and then only I can apply for son's passport showing my wife visa that she needs to land by so and so date...

i know english well but still to answer or explain smthng cn i req a interpreter? like can i tell them that if i want i will ask or else i wont?

when you sent in your application did you ask for interpreter? if it is hindi or Punjabi they provide you one free of cost but if it is other language they provide you with a list of companies that are authorized to provide you one. Some companies charge you Rs.3000 for providing interpreters for other languages. Visa officers don't use complicated words and if you can questions like 'how long were you married?'; 'how did you meet your spouse?'; or what is your spouse's birthdate? then you don't need an interpreter. But if you have trouble explaining in detail how you met your spouse then you may need an interpreter. Not sure if you can ask for one now if you had not mentioned you need one in your application. Maybe someone in the forum can answer that question.

Hello everyone, landed on 10th May at Toronto, it took just 10 minutes at immigration but an hour in customs, I had many things to declare at goods to follow after me, does anyone tell me how many days it will take to receive PR card ?

I got mine to my home address. they will send the PR card to the mailing address you provided when you landed

I dont think it has any adverse effect on the case for doing MP enquiry or checking the status of the case. I already did apply for GCM notes and I am planning to send NDVO email soon. . Some people say that PPR comes at the latter stages. In my case I got a letter in Jan stating that my application to NDVO as received and asked for PCC and RFF receipts which I already mailed with my application. Few members in the forum suggested that it was the PPR so we sent the Passport and NDVO confirmed that they received.

i talk hindi... in my notes its no interpreter.. so if its difficult for me to explain can i req one?

Just a quick question. What kind of questions do they ask in immigration at the airport? Anything to keep in mind for her?

Yes, makes sense. In Hong Kong, all they want to see in an e ticket receipt for the child.
Guess it makes no difference though.
Something that has crossed my mind is whether our children without C.Cert will still receive free healthcare until the C.Cert arrives. Say, do we have something like a 'health card', there? I can't shrug off the feeling that moving to Canada without a C.Cert comes with a catch.

they check documents such as 'confirmation of permanent residence', passport, and ask where to mail PR card. In some airports they issue social insurance card (depending on the time of arrival). If you have a list of things to follow they take a copy of the list.

hi guys, i am just preparing my application and i have question for you guys
-i got engaged in feb 2013 and got marriad in january 2014.
but i dont have communication proof between 2013-2014 as me and my wife changed our phones and all the data including whatsapp chat, viber,skype all got deleted. I also contacted the international calling company through which i used to call by wife, but they said they can only provide history for only 3 months back from now which is useless for me.so now i have nothing to show. Even though i have record from january 2013 ti till now.
Any suggestions?

have you made any trips to India during that time? have you exchanged birthday cards or any other letters via snail mail? anything to show like emails? or any other communication to anyone else where you talked about your would be? lots of people use calling cards from shops and CIC does not accept it as a proof ...you have one year gap that needs to be proved that you were communicating with her
