The Public Service Labour Relations Board (PSLRB) will hear the striking foreign service's bad-faith bargaining complaint against Treasury Board on August 22, according to a tweet from the union's Twitter account Friday morning.

The announcement of the hearing date comes more than one week after the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers filed a bad-faith bargaining complaint against Treasury Board. The union also asked the board to order two parties into binding arbitration.

PAFSO filed the bad-faith bargaining complaint last Wednesday after a failed attempt to enter binding arbitration with Treasury Board

I honestly dont know what to make out of this news.God knows how long will this drag on.1st hearing..2nd hearing...who knows.So what do we do till Aug 24th ?? Just keep checking e-cas i guess..lol.

Union said it should be 2 days max so by the 24th we will know. The thing I'm worried about is what happens if government is found not barging in bad faith by the board. Then what happens?? Then it will be very long strike and its gonna suck

Not really as even though the government is found not barging in bad faith then on September 1st or 2nd week they will send the PAFSO back to work legislation which is why they want to settle this before September.

Yuh parliment is scheduled to be back on September 6. But leaving in Ottawa I have never seen thrm back to work on scheduled date. Usually 2 weeks after :'(

Not a good news from the visa perspective. I am considernign ordering GCMS notes. How long does it take to receive GCMS notes after ordering?

Does it affect the progress of the case? Do they physically look at the file to see what;s going on?

It is very frustrating not knowing what is going on with my file (ecas is no help). Is the request for passport delayed because of the strike or background investigations or interview? It is ok I get frustrated not knowing the status of my application but hats off to people who submitted their passports in January and are still waiting while maintaining their sanity.

Most ppl received PPR 30 - 60 days after their file was transfered to ND. I am pretty sure you will get your PPR by the end of August and If not just order GCMS notes to see why your PPR was delayed.

Where did you hear that? Always got in on about the 29th-30th day, GCMS is from Ottawa so got nothing to do with LVO
