My stats as of today: -

No of days since application received CIC-M - 199
No of days since sponsorship approval - 162
No of days since passport requested - 138

God knows how much more they want me to wait...They're seriously testing our patience...Phew!!! Getting tired now... I hope and pray that I can sustain my patience till D-Day !!!

Hope we all have patience to get through this difficult waiting period like we all have till date.

True... today its been 181 days since I applied for my wife's PR... really testing our patience... hope this strike ends soon and our files move ahead...

Nope I am not planning to coz it doesn't make sense to apply as of now. Once the strike gets over and post that if it still takes time then I might go for it...otherwise it only makes sense to wait coz I feel most of the files are delayed due to the strike or else we all would've got our PRV's.

And lets get real...Even if I apply for GCMS notes today, its goin to take about a month for me to receive it...and if the strike gets off and they start working on our files...the chances of me getting a DM would be before I'll get the GCMS report mailed to me...Do you get my drift?

CIC websites says

"Posted processing times for both temporary and permanent resident visa applications do not take into account work stoppages."

Does this mean this stoppage of work time coz of strike will not be taken account for the 10 months processing period by NDVO ?

Of course....Don't you see they haven't stopped working...they're just working at a snail's pace...

Yes, it could mean another month or 2 added on to the time. Unless they work overtime and try to catch up on the almost 2 months of backlog.

I'm on the same page as you. We know the slow downs are because of the strike. There has virtually been any COPR's given out in 6 weeks (2 in 2012 thread I think). So ordering GCMS notes will just be a waste. I want to wait until way after the strike is called off. Since they haven't been doing much work in that office the last 2 months, what will GCMS notes really tell us? We know the hold up is political and nothing to do with our files. Waste of $30 in my opinion.
I really believe once the strike is called off we will start seeing a lot of COPR's.
