So as per the post I have reading here, It depends on each file. Your medical expiry is one year from the date.

If the case is straight forward with all the checks done and your medical is about to expire they will call you to confirm if you can fly before the expiry and in those cases they sometimes also extend the expiry by one or 2 weeks.
If the officer thinks that it might take some more time then then they contact you and ask you for re medical. And yes that seems to delay the process for some time.

But again it all depends on case and officer and its really hard to make a trend of the process looking at how they work.

I would recommend waiting for VO to send you re-medical request so that you do not get ahead of yourself not knowing when ur file will be processed and also you do not waste money on upfront re-medicals if VO themselve extend your medical. Just wait....

congrats to all who got IP and DM,

I guess they stopped working on weekends now and the virtual nos they gave us on datasheet are just to calm us down but there is a possibility of lesser applicants in sep oct nov dec
one clue is oct 15 applicant which never ever happened, when they start a month they start with only 1st week guys, mid of month applicant at the start is little fishy for 300 applicants in a month..just a guess, but I am really glad some people got updates otherwise this week was very depressing.

If you see that link that Abhishek posted (iam providing same below), so many hate comments were made that finally after one really scathing comment by me and another 'Rahul', suddenly out popped the latest update with some hosh posh numbers from CIC.

So rest assured, by End July, the entire 2013 (Jan- Dec) will be completely done.

August is the best time to come to Canada- Less heat, no cold, no mosquitoes in the forest, rivers are warm, traffic is less, boss is sleeping......

Approximately everyone who got remedical request from may and june are done with their visas....I am in 14th week after remedical, 13 months of processing time is soon getting over for me and I am still waiting with no updates..... ??? ??? :'( :'( File is in process since december..

Thnaks meenu, upasana, and pooja. No age difference, but have extensive traveling history more than 20 countries with pcc from 5 countries, so lets see how long it takes to process.
