I SENT THEM APPLICATION OF MY DIVORCE PAPER, DIVORCE CERITFICATE,DIVORCE ORDER, NOTARIZED AFFIDAVIT FROM MY LAWYER STATING I WAS SINGLE BEFORE GETTING MARRIED. I SENT WATEVER I HAVE IN MY HAND..

I MEANT MY HUSBAND SENT IT THROUGH FED EX. I ALSO CHECKED THE DEFINATION OF DIVORCE PETITION. IT SAYS APPLICATION OF DIVORCE. THE PAPER WHEN U FIRST FILL OUT FOR DIVORCE.

I sent my divorce cert as well , then afterwards emailed the judges order , separation agreement etc.. I called the court house in my province and they were confused by " petition" as that term is not used in 16 years - I wonder if its the actually intial F1 (desk order) they are referring to?

Yes I sent the paper that ex and I signed , and to clarify the end of relationship prior to divorce order I sent separation agreement dated 09 . No they haven't requested it from me but upon reflecting on our case I began to play devils advocate and thought I should include some proof that the relationship was well over before the divorce was finalized in 09/2012 then remarried in 11/2012 . I just sent a case specific enquiry n attached the PDF. Docs scanned . Fingers crossed they add to our file to save time

Hi TLSD,

The first one is the old sheet which was created by GulzarND and its not updated since GulzarND has been missing in action. The second one is created and maintained by James.007 and Prasamp, I don't have access to it. You will have to send them a personal message to have your details updated. Hope this helps.

your process was quite quick, i got my aor on april 4th, then the file was transferred and it's my wifes second marriage .. i see that u have sent all the paperwork for divorce which i believe i have as well.. do u have any idea if that delays the ppr request?

In feb, 2013 they got a letter asking for medical , P.C and passports of both of them..... And that have been done and sent to New Delhi ..how long it gonna take now for the visa ... Please advise,, thanks......

What is divorce petition?

I think the divorce petition means the complete package of the divorce, which includes the grounds on which the divorce was filed and all the details which cause the divorce and the complete story/ground on the base of which your lawyer prepare your case for the divorce

Neeru, this is not the forum to discuss your matter as this thread is for Spousal sponsorship ONLY. Also, no one can tell you exactly when your visa will arrive as everyone here is waiting for the same. I would advise to be patient and wait.

I would assume that anything that possibly complicates our cases or requires them investigate further would delay matters however , every situation is different ie. my spouse has no travel history so on the other hand this may save time ? Additionally I think our case may cause more time because I am divorced and have a child who was adopted and needed to be sponsored by me , in addition hahaha.. 3 years ago I thought I could be brilliant to hire a foreign nanny from Asia. Not realizing I may meet my soul mate in India ! Lol ..... Sorry I can't be specific as of yet as I am not really seasoned in this matter . I can't see how anybody's case is cut n dry ... People's past and current lives are all different from one another ... So by n large I think it depends on the VO efficiency , and our ability to explain ourselves to make it easy to understand .
