we had spoken to our MP somewhere around mid december. We were informed that our file is in initial review (which is ridiculous...considering my timeline). They told us to call again mid jan. Our MP is going to do that. My worry is, I dont want a reply like it will be dobe in two weeks or twoo months...or anything weirder...I just want to be with my husband..

(our MP office person is not known to use more words than 'yes' 'no' or 'initial review' so its very difficult to speak to him.)

Somehow, I have a VERY strong feeling for the coming week that even if it is one DM, it will be mumble and all straight forward cases remaining from March, April applicants... Else we will be a lil disppointed as well...
Yes, your hubby should make an appointment with MP's office if they don't reply with much info on phone... Our MP office was pretty efficient though when I dealt with them a couple of months ago..
And obviously, there is a work and life balance that canadian corporate world is currently promoting.. If it has been too long, your hubby should take some time off and visit you..... May be that way, you will be flying together to Canada as your Visa should come soon...

I totally feel you mumble. My husband and I have been having this same discussion since November. Fares were too high now we feel we may get a DM very soon so no point in him spending money and taking time off work to come here.

I feel you'll get your DM this coming week, quota or no quota, it's high time.

It happened to my husband when he applied under FSW.

Another hope I have is that the passport is already on the way while we wait for DMs! That would be awesome!

its good to know they have increased the no. of applications for family class and not our expense for FSW like last year!

hey maple, u may be able to retrieve some info from the spread sheet, in tne notes column. i have read before on this forum, and sure of some applicants getting their pp before DM.

Took a look at the spreadsheet. At a glance it seems quite a few people received their passport before DM. This gives hope to all of us who are waiting. Maybe the postman will arrive before ECAS wakes up!
