quick question? my husband got passport request on september 1st and we coudnt send passport till october 22,2012...but just checked ecas says in process.it says they start processing our file on october19,2012.....

how come they start processing our file without having passport.

we sent our passport on october 19,2012.

please somone tel if its common or strange?[/color]

Its normal.....thy started processing you file......all d best..........

thanks for replyin but isnt it strange they start processing our file without passport...the thing is we even din send any email saying why we din send passport early...because we send our passport after 1 month and 22 days..i guess they ll be thinking where our passport is?

Yes dear... its hard to be away... n yes mine is a straight forward case... no travel history n my wifes a canadian citizen.... all proofs submitted.... simple n straight case... what about You??

kmartin, u r absolutely correct, but one comment, even US process sucks big time, there is
no rule whom they give visa or whom they dont, its even more tortorous in US.

thy can give conditional PR or thy can ban sponsor for next 5yrs for any sponsorship to stop the fraud.....but doing torture to person by put in this endless wait......its unbearable..........anyways nothing to do llets wait.......I hope Mr Jason kenney will understand this pain nd make the process more smoother.....

its normal........if thy dun hv ur passport..........thy will call you for passport submission once thy ready to grant visa

oh ok...hopefully they got our passport today bcoz we sent it on 22nd....i guess it takes 1 day from punjab to delhi if its fast mail...hope for good..coz we have straight forward case and luv marriage...

Hello All,

I applied for my baby's sponsorship. The baby is just 6 month old, both myself and my wife are PRs in Canada. Here is my time line...

Application Submitted: June 25 2012
Application for Sponsorship approved: August 29 2012
Application Sent to ND: September 4 2012
Passport Request from ND: September 20 2012
Passport received by the Consulate: September 26 2012

My ecas status still shows that "Application received"...

When can I expect some answer from the CIC. Does it really takes 9 months to process the application of a small baby who has only 6 month of traceable history? Please share your knowledge. Thanks a lot.

I know it's frustrating i'm pretty much on the same level as you are. I'm canadian citizen originally from punjab.. I've filed my case on may31st/12 recieved aprroval on july 10/12 and Pass Reg Aug 1/12.. They've wrote a letter to my wife whom i'm sponsoring that I've missed to submit a form.. They've mailed the letter to my canadian address instead !! How Rediculous ?? it's commonsense if i'm sponsoring my spouse and CIC sending a letter to my wife.. Why would they send it to me all they way out in vancouver.. From this you could imagine how they work out in Delhi.. However i did resubmit the form that they said that i did not submit.. The form had got to delhi through UPS by oc 16/12 and frm then till now.. NO CHANGE IN ECAS.. No email confirming the recieval of the documents What so ever.. Any Piece of advice for me frm anyone ??? Few Of my frnds had said dat if they r working on ur file dat's why they had asked for the form.. and if they were to call for an interview they should've just sent a letter saying ur interview is on such and such time and place and bring this so and so form... Anyone With a advice or a guess abt what there next step is going to b like ??
