What was the outcome of the interview? They must have said something during the interview. If not, then you will have to wait for them to contact further.

oh, no I mean this COMING monday, the 18th, is his interview. So he has not had it yet, but we are just confused why they would not ask for the medicals again since they sent the interview request AFTER his medical expired.

Don't worry. If they need a new medical test they will let you know. Otherwise, they might just extend the validity by a procedure they have that says the VO can extend validity of medical if that's the only thing holding up the visa issuance. Check out this forum for links about that.

It might be better to ask them at the end of the interview, if the medical issue doesn't come up. tell them that the medical expired and ask them if any action has to be taken on your part or whether they will let you know later.

Decision Made!

Just now checked and it says decision made. They started processing on Feb 11. So I was probably right that they changed status by mistake to In-Process under Sponsor, instead of under Applicant.

Anyways, I wish all of you best of luck and hope of speedy decision.

Going by the speed they are processing the applications now, looks like there is one set of officers working on August applications while another set is working on September applications. Simultaneously, some officer(s) may be working on older cases as well.

I guess most september applicants would get DMs by end of this month or beginning of March. In march, they might start taking up October applications.

According to my observation it looks like they received fewer applications in August, September and October. So the queue is not so big compared to previous months. Plus the quota issue at the end of the year made it worse for applicants from the middle-of-the-year - April, May, June and July.

My analysis: April-July is the worst time to apply, especially for June-July applicants. If they do not run out of quota, then you get it on time. But if they do run out, then the processing time drags and this has been true for the May-July applicants.

Hi , you done a pretty much good research and analysis . I have a question do they start processing applicaiton from the date your file received to step 1 or they process the date your life transfer to India. I am really confuse becasue my file received on Aug 16 and Transfer to India on 25 september . But Its 6month and I did not hear anyhting . So Please let me know If you have any Idea.

Further analysis:
Even within August and September applications (or in fact for any month), looks like they divide them into batches (let's say 4 batches per month - corresponding to 4 weeks a month) and then each batch is assigned to an individual officer.
Some officers are faster while some are slower and this also depends upon the complexity of the case they handle. This explains why some applicants from middle of a month get DM while others who applied in the beginning of the month get DM a bit later.

And then they probably also sort out cases that look easiest within each batch and complete DM for those cases first and push the other cases that require more in-depth review to either back of the batch queue, another queue or to another officer - depending upon the complexity.

Sometimes it also depends on luck - an officer may be on leave and this may hold up your batch's queue, while other batches are getting progressed.

Coming back to your point, in your case they have most likely overlooked that they had to send a PPR. Even if they overlooked it, from past posts, it sounds they will ask you for a PP when they review your file and the PPR would be through phone.

Good morning......ECAS finally worked lAst night and my status changed to IN PROCESS !!!!
But I have noticed some more changes, when I log in with my husband's UCI I see his name on top with his Canada address and then I see my name on sponsored person and my status is in process and my husband's status changed from decision made to in process.

I guess for you both the status are showing In Process if I am not wrong.....
