GOOD NEWS people..... :D :D :D
Wife got PPR today at 11:43 IST.
The letter is dated 13th July (today).
They have asked for PP, PCC, RPRF fee receipt and copy of letter as usual.
Do I need to send anything else? Does this mean my package is complete and nothing is missing?
Congratulations

Average processing time for a child sponsorship in ND is 7-9 months.
That sounds quite long? lalatata where did you get this information from? I know two of the cases in ND where child sponsorship was done in 2 months (though this was in Nov and Dec 2011). The average time for spousal sponsorship itself is around 6 months and Child sponsorship is usually faster than spousal case as there is no Police certificate and background check and as a result there is less scrutinizing of the case.

I am not doubting your information but if you could point out or know someone for child sponsorship case in ND please let me know. 7-9 months?, cant think of waiting that long. Anyway waiting for some news from CPC in Canada. Application was received on April 16th as per Canada Post (by priority courier)

Thanks

Hi,

In the spreadsheet what does DM/Visa mean? Is it issuance of final Visa with COPR? If so it looks quite quick as someone getting DM/Visa in as less as 6 days after PPR request. Also what does last communication means? Many people seem to get the Visa in less than month after a PPR? Am I missing something? I am confused please clarify.

Iam newbie here.

Thanks

they finished 50 % cases in 4 months, 70% in 6 months and 80% in 7 months.

And btw, as per New Delhi office website - http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde...

Sponsored Spouses, Partners, and Children

Processing times for these applications are calculated from the date on which the application is accepted by Case Processing Centre - Mississauga.

So, lets say there were 10 - Jan,2012 applicants - out of them

5 will be approved by May,12
2 will be approved by July,12
1 will be approved by Aug,12

the remaining 2 can take however long..

Similarly if there were 30 - Feb,2012 applications - out of them

15 will be approved by June,12
6 will be approved by Aug,12
3 will be approved by Sept,12

Now obviously this is the case when Mississauga is not causing additional delays, this Jan there time got increased by at least a month or so- which can explain water fall effect delays for all Jan,Feb, so on ... applicants.

this extra time should be added to the above calculations and going back to the e.g of Feb applicants would now be like:

30 - Feb,2012 applications - out of them

15 will be approved by July,12
6 will be approved by Sept,12
3 will be approved by Oct,12

similarly

10 - Jan,2012 applicants - out of them

5 will be approved by June,12
2 will be approved by Aug,12
1 will be approved by Sept,12

Look at the trackers, majority of Jan applicants were are being approved this June-July (5 out 10)

I suspect the same for Feb, majority will be July-august(15 out of 30)

Cheers!

What you all think??

If you look at the same link, download the spread sheet and check the avg times for Dependent under family class (which is listed separate from Spouse) ... you will see what i mean.

This link is useful. However I feel the processing times in the spreadsheet are for ND office only after step 1 is approved and not total processing time after you submit the application to CPC-M. As the link below says that 80% of cases in ND are cleared in 8 months.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp

So times in spreadsheet has to be ND specific time in step 2. However, its surprising that dependent child is taking more time than spouse. Probably they are prioritising spousal applications.

Anyway this is powerful data.

Thanks

Great info lalatata, but at the end i think it all depends on the individual case.

the percentage is just a number, but some cases are straight forward where as some of them has more to it.

Sounds good. May be it is worth to hand write a line on those photocopies stating that they are COPIES of the ORIGINALS that have been submitted already? Just to avoid the confusion of them thinking you have send the "copy" of PCC when they really requested the original.

Depends on how straightforward your case is. If it's a simple case, it should come by end of August.
