My wife applied for her spouse-open work permit last week in India through VFS. The file was sent to DELHI and is in process.
She say that VFS said that the p[rocessing time for work permits is 20 working days. But when I see CIC website the processing time for applications made ouside canada is 4 months (delhi).
can someone let me know Which one is correct ??

I would always go with CIC website timelines as the entire processing is done by CIC while VFS only does a "postmen" job.vizag_canada said:
On the flip side, CIC updates the timelines only once in a quarter, so, if the queue gets cleared fast, then, you might get the WP sooner.

I recieved an email from cic Delhi on 19th November 13
Below is the email
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.
Your case was undergoing some verifications, presntly is looked into by an officer. Once the case is finalised we will get back to you.
We trust that this information will be of assistance.

At the outset, it looks like the regular verification unless you have multiple complications. I believe you have all the papers in hand that is sufficient for an approval, sometimes, they might want to check on LMO approval which could delay your processing.Fasuu11 said:
