Nairobi Applicants 2013???

Hi Camelboy,
I really had some delays in my application, the first interview (sept 2013) was cancelled after terrorists attack in Westgate Nairobi in September 2013 and this was so frustrating waiting for another interview to be fixed, then i had to wait for another date which came in Feb 2014 which i passed. Then my medical had expired & the visa officer requested london to extend but again london requested an extra chest x-ray which i did and submitted on time and all this delayed the whole process.
Otherwise, patience pays now we are almost done because my passport was submitted in Feb and in March they requested me to pay a pre-paid DHL coupon which i did. Now am waiting for DHL to deliver my passport with visa and copr.

So eagerly waiting now !!

Thanks Rose for the details, about the DHL preapid coupon how did you arrange it, like did you went to DHL office and bought a DHL prepaid envelope and then you shipped this to the Nairobi office?

Am glad to inform you that finally my cic application status shows DECISION MADE!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Wondering how long it will take my passport with visa and COPR to arrive, i cannt wait!!

Thanks Rose for the details, about the DHL preapid coupon how did you arrange it, like did you went to DHL office and bought a DHL prepaid envelope and then you shipped this to the Nairobi office?

To get a pre-paid coupon, i went to DHL office paid the fees and they sent the pre-paid envelop direct Nairobi. When Nairobi is done, its will just contact DHL to deliver back my documents to me. Its a very simple process once you reach DHL office and explain to them. I have a copy of my Way bill Number for easy tracking.

Thanks for the kind/best wishes!! Indeed its been a long process for me but God's timing is always the best. After the wastgate incident when i had my interview cancelled two days to the day due to insecurity matters, we felt so so bad but we had to gather ourselves and remain strong as we patiently waited for another date. So basically, anything can happen during this waiting process but only patience & prayers can keep you through.
Am so happy that finally its all coming to an end, will be submitting my resignation letter at my workplace very soon but they have been aware of my immigration plan & have been very supportive. Then the packing of bags & other things for the travel soon after i get my visa.
Thanks once again to you my dear Nairobi colleagues, i will surely keep you updated.

Just to update you that i recieved my passport/visa & copr on 30th April 2014. It was issued on 24th April 2014 & will be landing on 10th May 2014 in canada.
Am so happy to finally get my visa & so excited as i do my packing. Will keep you posted & in prayers.

Hi everyone..I just received a letter yesterday from CIC-Nairobi dated March 8th asking me to do my medicals. I had already submitted medicals together with my application and i guess its been over a year since i did them. But the letter from CIC has asked me to do medicals within 60days of the date on the letter..that means i have until May 8th to do medicals and submit.
Guys how quick is it to get an appointment with the panel physician in Nairobi and qhat if i don't get an appointment, can CIC give me an extension

Congrats Rose, I am so happy for you, just like everyone in this forum given what you have gone thru !

As for me, I received some good news as well as they started processing my file in early April, but I learned late April that they had requested my passports and 6 photos. They sent the email to my Wife, but it went to her Junk mail. When I saw in process, i told her to check the junk mail, fortunately she checked and found the email they sent 03 April requesting those docs. I took vacations right away and flew to Nairobi, my wife did the same and we are both currently In Nairobi. We went to Visa Center to submit the passports and all other docs. We keep our finger crossed and continue to pray. For all applicants, let`s keep hope, soon everyone will get some good news.

Thank you for updating us with your good news. I hope the passport and visa will be returned to you soon.
@Moll, did you pay the right of permanent residence fee at the time you submitted your application? As far as I know this can also delay your passport if you didn't pay it in the early stages of your application.

oh everything has been paid.. I heard that immigration is only suppose to hold someones passport for six months.. so lets see

@Lumumba, Thank you very much for your kind words. I know this is not easy for all of us, but I believe going thru all this makes our relationship with our beloved ones even stronger.

@Moll
That is still unusual for them to hold your passport for such a long time. Did you check your status online? What does it say? Did you try to contact them and also did you check with your MP? I have checked a couple of posts in this Forum and none of them seems to have a case like yours with a passport being held for such a long time.

Did you make sure that they received it? I know this is not easy for us all, but let us keep faith and God will help us all.
