I am about to send my application and i was wondering whether proof of relationship documents such as courier shipping documents, money transfer receipts, postcards stamps, letters are required in original or wheth6er a colored copies are sufficient

Because I can not afford to lose all my evidence incase my application get lost on its way to CPC-M or Nairobi office.

The document checklist specifically tells you what documents to send originals of and which ones they need copies ... for proof, I sent copies... hope this helps..

Its been quite a while without logging in here. I agree that the Nairobi West gate incident affected the VO and most of us have been put on waiting for quite some time. But still we must remain patient and hope for some good news soon.

Hello members,
I need your sincere advise. My interview was supposed to take place in September but due to West-gate incident, it was canceled and told that another date would be fixed in October. My worry now is that October has ended and still no communication.

Please advise me, what i can do?? My husband is planning of communicating to Nairobi to inquire but we are not sure whether its a good thing. We are totally impatient as each day we wait for re-scheduling another date. Help please.

I think you should give them a call and just nicely ask that you received an email saying that you'd get a date in October but you didn't hear back so you just wanted to follow up. Hopefully, you get lucky and they cancel the interview requirement

Hi Rose13,

It won't hurt asking them about your file, I emailed them a while ago about my application and they replied after long-long time, about 40 days, in your case you can get your husband contact his MP as ask them about your behalf; usually they respond to MPs with in couple of days.

Thanks for the good advise, i will try to make a polite inquiry and also talk to my husband to contact his MP to findout what could be happening to our application. This whole this of waiting especially since the cancellation is stressing up our minds. I hope we shall get a response soon.

There seems to be an minor improvement with the Nairobi office a total of 22 Months. Nairobi Office is no longer the longest.

This processing time thing is really confusing. I thought that the Nairobi office was understaffed but it seems there are many factors effecting the processing time.

yesterday i did confirm by my agent gms that Nairobi office has closed down due to last time Terrorist attack there and now will operate New office in Mauritius this 15 November 2013.

Can anyone confirm this information again with your current agents or else sources please.
