Hi, toothfairy,

Toronto's first ever sky bridge lifted up. A land mark of Toronto.
Canada's first and world's second highest sky bridge

Concord 's Skybridge at Parade Raised Overnight
Walters Inc. raised the 320 tonne bridge that now links the two tallest towers at Concord Adex's Parade condominium complex on Fort York Boulevard in Toronto.

A two-storey span, the lower level will become a party room/lounge facility for residents in the Kohn Pedeseron Fox-designed Parade. The amenity space will have some glass floor portions, the windows in the underside can be seen in a number of the photos.

The upper level will be split between two suites, a 4,200 square foot suite accessed from the west tower, and a 3,600 square foot suite accessed from the east tower. Each suite will have rooms on three floors where the Skybridge joins the towers.

Canada Day 2012 fireworks & events across Toronto (GTA)

Canada Day 2012 fireworks & events across Toronto (GTA)

Fireworks and barbeques are the traditional way to celebrate Canada Day -- and there are plenty of places to take the family to mark Canada's 145th birthday this year.

Here's a list of fireworks displays and events across the GTA,

July 1 Fireworks displays:

Ashbridges Bay Park (Coxwell Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard, Toronto): After 9:30 p.m.

Canada's Wonderland (Major MacKenzie Dr & Highway 400, Vaughan): 10 p.m,

Downsview Park(Sheppard Ave and Keele Street): A half-hour fireworks show starts at dusk.

It's not often you get to celebrate a 145th birthday and there are plenty of options ranging from traditional fireworks to a massive barbecue to a July 1 party done 1860s-style for Canucks of all ages to show their love for the true north strong and free on Canada Day this year.

Fireworks will light up the sky at Ashbridges Bay and Downsview parks and at Canada's Wonderland, as well as other spots.

Many Canucks like to fire up the grill on the anniversary of Confederation, but the annual Toronto RibFest Food and Music Festival in Etobicoke is the perfect place to go for those who don't want to stand over the barbecue.
