Good... can I ask you if your ecas status (online) has changed? Mine still shows that I was asked to take test on Dec 4th which I did. It does not show any update on the oath timeline. So I'm trying to deduce if the online status changes to something like 'invitation to take oath has been sent on <date>' or such.
I took the test on Nov. 30th and had my oath ceremony yesterday and eCAS still has my last update as being sent a notice to take the test. eCAS can be slow sometimes.

@keesio: Thanks for the update. Were you given the notification of the oath date right on the day you took the test or was the invitation sent later on?

They gave it to me the same day, right after the interview.

Thanks for the reply! None of the persons that took test with me and whose results were announced as 'passed' got any notification on that day. We were the 4 PM batch. By the time we took the test it was about 6:30 PM. Now, I'm trying to derive if the time of the test has got anything to do with the oath letter being handed the same day. So may I know what time you took the test at?

I took it at 8AM. When we went into the room to take the test, the test moderator welcomed us and announced to us that if you pass the test and the interview, they will give out an invitation to the oath ceremony that day and it is scheduled for the following week. That seems fairly common for Mississauga (getting a letter on the same day). If they didn't announce that during your day and no one got an oath letter, then maybe your batch was handled differently for some reason.

Yeah, Mississauga is super fast. It actually caught me off guard when I got the letter to take the test so quickly because I wasn't expecting anything until early next year at the earliest. I basically had my oath ceremony 6 days after the test, I don't know of anyone who had it quicker. I didn't mind having to rent a car twice to go to Mississauga if they are going to be that fast!

Thank you both for the update! This is what we happened with us all - after all the candidates handed their test papers back in, we were asked to wait outside the hall for a few minutes (about 15 minutes). Then the candidates were called in as a group of about 10 each time in the exam hall. A few of the first batch came happily out of the hall ('yaay'-ing) that they passed the test. But I didn't see any papers in their hands. I wasn't hoping for anything to be handed in to them during the exam hall.
Well, I belonged to the next group. We were told that we passed the test. We'll be sent the invitation to take oath in about 4 - 8 weeks. The time was about 6:50 PM then. We all congratulated each other and walked away. This happened on Dec 4th.
Now that I see that both of you who had taken the test around the same day have already taken the oath too, I can only guess that maybe the persons concerned to issue sign the oath letter would have gone for the day. Was the letter (to take the oath) signed by a Judge or someone?

I suppose that would be better. If, by the time you have the interview, you having been working full-time in Canada for a few months, that would look good.
Thanks Keesio.

hmm... keeps me wondering why our batch had an 'out-of-the-norm' experience. I would have attributed this experience particularly to something in my file had it just been for myself. But for sure, I know at least all the 10 persons in the group that I belonged to which was called into the exam hall had the very same experience - your invitation to oath will be sent in 4 - 8 weeks. Keeping fingers crossed :(

Yeah my oath letter was very generic. No name, the field for application and client ID was blank. When the official handed it out to us, he had a stack of them and just passed them around so all the letters were identical.

Not sure why you had a different experience. This is the office on Glen Erin drive, correct? Maybe they have different days for different category applicants? cool497 and I were both Saturday morning people and those groups get fast tracked somehow?

Anyway if they told you an oath letter was coming in 4-8 weeks and you had a good interview, then I'm sure you will be fine, just need to be patient.

@keesio: Thanks for the reply. The interview was good. Even if it were not (hypothetically), I would not attribute the oath letter not being handed in to the interview assessment. Here is why: It's extremely unlikely that all in our group (the 10 or so members that were called in to be informed that we passed the test) had something to have the oath letter sent only after another assessment or so.
I'm only trying to understand which of the 2 groups - your batch or the one that I happened to be in - had a one-off experience.
So if any other members had recently taken a test, I would request them to post their post-test experience. Thanks!

I think for Mississauga, getting the oath ceremony letter on the same day is common. SMF123, espn103, and "The guy" on this thread also got theirs on the same day:
