Hi Guys! New here to the page, just got my sponsor approval on Oct. 5th (it took longer then normal processing times, not sure why), and now were waiting for them to send it to Mexico. Does anyone know how long that takes? Everything seems to take forever. We're desperate to go!! :(

My Ecas got updated today to :

2. We started processing xxx xxx xxx application on july 6 2015.

im worried about the fact that my ecas is not showing medical received and I send them in July but we send them to the Visa office instead of the embassy, since the call center agent advise to send the docs to that office :'( I email the visa office they took for ever to reply and said to email the embassy since they should have my docs. I email the embassy and explain the situation and they said to contact the Visa office is so frustrating ... any advise ? is there anyway I can get a copy of the exams or a letter from the doctors office or do I have to get the exams done again ?

thanks !

What address did you send them to? Did the medical office also send them in on your behalf??

I just finished sending in an additional document package and my letter expressly stated to send the documents to:

"Embassy of Canada
Immigration Section
Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra 193, Colonia Granada, Delegacion Miguel Hidalgo, 11520, Mexico D.F. Mexico"

Is this where you sent your medicals to?

I wouldn't be too worried as our ECAS just last week updated with "medicals received" and we submitted them upfront in january 2015.

I send them to
CANADA VISA APPLICATION CENTER
VISA FACILITATION SERVICES MÉXICO, S. DE R.L. DE C.V
Jaime Balmes #11, Torre D-201, Col. Polanco Delegación Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico, Distrito Federal, CP 11510

Because that's what the call center agent said when I ask him :(
I will check with the doctor office to check if they send it.
I guess I just need to wait until they send me a letter requesting info.

I am a canadian PR, and my husband is a mexican citizen. is it better to apply out-land or if he comes to canada on visit visa, and then to apply as inland?

Also, while he is waiting for application to get processed, can he stay and work in Canada?

To me that is not the correct address to have sent it to. That is a VAC which processes TRVs. If you included your UCI and file number in the documents they may figure out who/where to send it, but that's just a common sense guess on my part. I would be contacting that VAC office to see if they can track down your document and get it over to the immigration section of the Canadian Embassy, or get another copy from the medical office and resend it to the appropriate office.

You could also perhaps email the immigration section to tell them what you did as per what the call centre personnel told you, and see what they suggest as a solution.

Try this email which was included in my wife's AOR2; E-mail : mexico-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

I found this contact information re the VAC in Mexico City to which you sent the medical results;

Helpline number :
Mexico City: (55) 1163-8791 or (84) 4230 7732
Guadalajara: (33) 4624-0063 or (84) 4230 7733
Monterrey : (81) 5030-7354 or (84) 4230 7726

Helpline email:
Mexico City: Info.canMexicoCity@vfshelpline.com;

These phone numbers are for VFS Global which operates the VAC in Mexico. It is not the Embassy of Canada.

Good luck with this...

Outland is faster 6 - 17 months depending on your application. Inland works if he can get into Canada, though he cannot leave Canada during the process! Does he already have a TRV (visitor visa or other)?? If not it is unlikely he would get a visitor TRV issued as you are already married and they believe he will overstay his visit in Canada. He would need to have VERY strong, VERY well documented ties back to Mexico, i.e. need to be back at a good job/business or university, lease contract for property rental, strong ties back to his family in Mexico, etc. It can be difficult to get.

I cannot answer whether he can work while in Canada and awaiting spousal PR application processing. Perhaps someone else from the group here can...

EDIT; The quick check I did in these forums suggested that, if you apply inland, you are able to apply for an "Open Work Permit", which apparently must be submitted along with the spousal PR application. I suggest you do a search in the main forum and see what it generates for results.

HI!
I had the same doubts when we started applying. After talking to some layers, all of them agree on doing it outland.
Although from december 2014 I think, if you apply inland you are able to apply for a work permit after 4 months! But also you have to send all the documentation together.
That's all I know!
Good luck!

Hello Folks!!! I have a question for you. My friend was born in Canada, but she is living in Venezuela since 6 years old. She will get marry next month and will sponsor her husband to come together. One of the requirements is the Print out C from the Canada Revenue what can she do in that case?
