YAY!!! Hubby got his passport back today with the visa stamped inside! What a relief! Now I can finally turn my mind off a little!
It took only one week from the time we sent the passport in to get the visa back!
Good luck to the rest of you who are still waiting. It's a long process but totally worth it!
hmmmm...I just realized something you may be interested in...today is officially hump day so you should celebrate with him in honor of this very special day of the week!

nope they don't put a date!!
and if I were u I would send a prepaid waybill just cuz it could speed it up!
cuz otherwise they send the police request by regular mail and we all know that can be a little bit unreliable in mexico.

so yes I would send a dhl prepaid waybill just to be sure u get it and it speeds things up. so when they go to send out ur aor they will send the police request with ur prepaid waybill instead of regular mail
:)

thanks a bundle!! I hope this week or next is our lucky week! I cant see any reason for them to take any longer!
:)
That is what I'm worry about too , I dont trust regular mail here sometimes they open your envelopes not safe ! So Im going to do that .. just to make sure I have to writte our client ID my adress in mexico in the envelope right ?

Thank you Leisa :)

is Toronto the only place u can attend a hearing?
or how does that work.
do the hearings for appeals only take place in Canada? and does only the sponsor attend them ?

I don't really know much about appeals, only that they take foreverr

yeah we wrote the applicants name, file # and birthdate on everything we sent to them and than make sure the return address is the one in mexico yes.

I would just send a standard brown envelope and get them to put the prepaid waybill(which is only a small sticker) inside the envelope.
than when the embassy gets it they will take out the sticker and end up sending u there own style of envelope anyways.
and yeah for the letter just a piece of paper

that has the name, file number, date of birth again, address
and a note that says why u are sending the prepaid waybill, so they can use it for the pgr request letter.

and yeah u can send ups, we send everything dhl cuz its a bit cheaper and the embassy usually will tell u to send stuff to them dhl. but it doesn't really matter u can use dhl, fedex, ups. anything u want,
:)

Hi I was just reading the AOR letter we received back in October which states the following:

Important information
In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide or do the
following as soon as possible:
• To facilitate matching of documents requested, please attach a label with your file number
on the top right corner of each document that you sent to our office
• Immigrant visas have a validity limited to one year from the date when the medical
examinations were initiated or the validity of the passport, which ever is first. Please
ensure to have a valid passport. No extensions are granted once visas are issued.

I´m freaking out a little bit because it sounds as though we should have sent something in but in reality in the letter they never asked us to send any additional documents. Am I just being paranoid? Do all AOR letters state the same thing even if they dont require additional documents????

I think the AOR are just generic letters. so unless the specifically asked u for something. than you shouldnt worry about it

they will send the aor and any other correspondence by email, but the pgr request letter comes by snail mail or courier if u send a prepaid waybill.

you should send the waybill like a month after u get sponsorship approval. so that it gets to them before they sent out the aor.
cuz if they send out the aor they send the pgr at the same time. so u will miss the chance so to speak of u wait to get the aor.
