Well, tomorrow is the big June 30 "due date" on our file. Given that it lands on Saturday of a long weekend, I'm not exactly holding my breath for much action on the immigration front LOL! I'm outta here for a week's vacation in beautiful Prince Edward County with my nieces from Winnipeg. A much needed getaway. Happy Canada Day weekend everyone!

I waited a lonnnng time to see in process on my eCas. But I am pretty sure they started it before they changed it on Ecas. ( I got the PGR request before the in process showed up), and then once it did show up I got PPR in like a month!

So I wouldn´t worry much about what eCas says.

Okay sure! lets put me on the spreadsheet.
No Mexico hasnt sent us anything yet, its been about 2.5 months since they should have receieved our application.
what is Ecas? sorry im new to this.

My Bad. I do know what ecase is.

On there it just says
sponsorship application status = decision made
permanent residence application status= application receieved

so i gues it just tells me that step one me being the sponsor was approved, but nothing more.

My ecas says the same thing. Do you see medical results received when you login with the file number and the principal applicant's info? (I saw your question in the Jan thread) 2.5 weeks after sponsorship approval, my husband got an AOR from Mexico. That was June 4. Nothing since so just waiting!

okay now i figured out how to login under his file number. and
all it says there is mailing address and
application for permanent residence received, nothing more.

us too just waiting, i am lucky enough to be able to be in mexico with my spouse while we wait. but we are still impatiently waiting to go back to canada.

I saw medical results received right away but there doesn't seem to be a consistent order with things. Hopefully we get the visas soon. I'm getting very inpatient but trying to focus on the here and now.

we did our medicals quite a few months before we submitted our application because originally we were gunna sponsor from inside canada, but couldnt so we went outside and it took a little bit to organize everything. so we think they might request new medicals, cuz its pretty close to being the one year point now.

we did our medicals quite a few months before we submitted our application because originally we were gunna sponsor from inside canada, but couldnt so we went outside and it took a little bit to organize everything. so we think they might request new medicals, cuz its pretty close to being the one year point now.

not sure yet. were being told many different things.
the last border service agent we dealt with said we would need one because my finance was a failed refugee and "all refugees need an arc". but our immigration consultant told us we may or may not and to just wait.

but we just had 2 friends who were refugees as well. they were denied and they withdrew before the PRAA(their laywer told them to just withdraw instead of doing the pre removal risk assesment).
they came back to mexico and were sponsored by their employer through canadian expereince class. and they just arrived back in canada in may and i asked them and they said they were never asked for an ARC and throughout there process and landing they were never asked about there refugee cases at all.

so i really dont know if we do or not. it seems to be different with everyone. i guess we will just wait and see if they ask us for the ARC.

It's a good time to come out of hibernation - an early April applicant received sponsorship approval recently so hopefully yours comes around in the next couple weeks!

This is kind of off topic, but does anyone know how long it takes to renew a mexican passport in mexico?
