Hello everyone... ive been away for a week and justed checked my status but under application number and my wife's birthdate and it says

We received your application for permanent residence on March 14, 2013.


Medical results have been received.

March 14 was my stage 1 AOR but if they received medicals does that mean that we have stage 2 AOR? haven't received any emails from vienna. how do i know what our current status is?

Hey milance and kkmoe! Fellow Vienna-er here!

Medical results received simply means they have matched your medicals up with your file which is good !
It doesn't mean stage 2 AOR. You will get that once Vienna emails you saying they received your application!

Once you get your sponsorship approval it will say in the email that your file will be transferred to Vienna.
So if you haven't received that yet, that is where you're at for now ! Good luck!!

Edit; I just noticed you both have a "file transferred" date, so now you just have to wait for an email from Vienna saying they have your appl!!

Just to clarify, the APPLICANT will get an email/snail mail that the outland embassy (i.e. Vienna or Manila) has received the application?

Its confusing because in my husband's (Sponsor's) status on ECAS says Decision Made on sponsorship approval, mail sent APRIL 19. we called the helpline instead since we never received the said mail. However the agent said that our sponsorship was approved and that the file has been forwarded to the outland country (in my case manila).

When i tried entering my surname on ecas, it says under "PR Status" -- application received, but the date is the date Mississauga supposedly received our file.... no mention that the VO Manila received it.

Do I assume that since I (as the applicant) haven't received any contact from the VO in Manila, my file hasn't arrived here?
If so, when should I start to worry that the file might have been lost...? its been 10 days seen April 19, the date they supposedly sent it here... and I haven't received any contact from the visa office of manila. My husband hasn't received anything either

I have a consultant so I am not positive but I believe the applicant does get the emails for the permanent residency stage. And yes, on Ecas it will say they received your file at Mississauga but it won't update when you get AOR from Manila. If you have received SA, that is the date your file was transferred to Manila.

Also, regarding the fact that you didn't get mail, it may say they sent a letter but it was most likely an email and it has happened numerous times that the email address is wrong.

And just because Manila has not gotten in contact with you doesn't mean it's not there, they might just not have gotten to it. In my case, my file was transferred to Vienna feb 19 and I have not heard from them. My consultant emailed them and we are waiting for a reply. We only decided to email them because it passed the two month mark and I was getting antsy!
Check the Manila spreadsheet and see what the average time for a second stage AOR is.
Vienna is about a month, that's why I was worried about mine!

To answer ur quest...just filled all the apps..all the supporting documents watever we had..we did our apps over-self.
isnt this how the process is?? ppr request first...then process n visa at the end.

Nope, haven't heard anything from CEM yet. I don't think I'll be hearing from them soon either. Based from the different spreadsheets that I've seen, CEM's currently processing September 2012 applicants right now. It might take a couple months before we hear from 'em.
